    Very unique experience-...

Very unique experience- perfect for couples. Sound bowls are placed on your body to resonate. Memorable for both me and my wife- highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was such a pleasure to have you both for the session, and your kind energy made the experience truly special for me as well. I’m so happy to hear that it was a memorable experience for you and your wife.

    Magic in all frequenties!

As an experienced sound healer myself, I was looking for inspiration and relaxation ofcourse, I came across Junichirou’s address. This was the best discovery I could imagine, he is such a great sound master! His English is as outspoken as the journey he takes you with. Profound, delicate, subtle and ever so strong. Thank you so much Junichirou for the sound bath, you relaxed and energized us on through your sound journey, looking forward for a next session when we are in Kyoto! Arigato, Rick and Thom BV

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and insightful review. Please accept my sincere apologies for the delayed response. It was an absolute honor to host a fellow sound healer. Knowing that you found both inspiration and relaxation in my session means the world to me. I truly enjoyed our connection, and I am so grateful that our paths crossed here in Kyoto. I am already looking forward to the day we can meet again!

    Heavenly

It was a beautiful experience. Our guide met us at the local family mart so we wouldn’t get lost. You lay on a heated mat, with an eye mask and blanket. He starts by playing next to you. Then he places the bowl on you so you feel the vibrations! You might just fall asleep. He will take a couple pictures and send them to you as a souvenir. It was a truly one of a kind experience! Definitely recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the detailed review! I’m truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the session. To my surprise, a sister of yours came to my session today as well! I was so honored to meet you all. Please come visit again whenever you are back in Japan!

The Absolute Highlight of Our Trip to Kyoto!

I’ve enjoyed this activity twice now and it is easily the most unique and memorable experience our family has had in Kyoto. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional—warm, welcoming, and very personal. We were fascinated by the sound bath technique. It was incredible to learn how different sound waves impact the body; the host has a remarkable ability to identify "problem areas" just by the way your body resounds to and absorbs the sound. It is deeply relaxing and scientifically fascinating at the same time. If you are looking for something unique and restorative beyond the usual overcrowded tourist sites, do not miss this!

    So relaxing!

Simple yet very relaxing experience. The copper bowls gave off wonderful vibrations. They were especially calming when placed on our bodies.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for coming to the session the other day! And thank you for taking the time to write a review. I hope it will be one of good memories of your trip to Japan.

Kyoto: Escape the Crowds with a Private Japanese Sound Bath: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kyoto.

How much does Kyoto: Escape the Crowds with a Private Japanese Sound Bath cost?

    +

Prices start at $20000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kyoto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kyoto: Escape the Crowds with a Private Japanese Sound Bath take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kyoto is not rushed.

Is Kyoto: Escape the Crowds with a Private Japanese Sound Bath worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kyoto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kyoto: Escape the Crowds with a Private Japanese Sound Bath?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kyoto: Escape the Crowds with a Private Japanese Sound Bath suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kyoto: Escape the Crowds with a Private Japanese Sound Bath?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kyoto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kyoto and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kyoto: Escape the Crowds with a Private Japanese Sound Bath start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kyoto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kyoto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kyoto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kyoto : Gion Make Your Own Chopsticks with Engraving Option, Award-Winning Authentic Ramen Making Experience in Kyoto, Hidden Kyoto E-Biking tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kyoto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kyoto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
