2nd fantastic tour with Journey Cambodia!
After a fantastic first tour with Journey Cambodia doing the 2 day Angkor park tour, we booked with them again to see Kulen mountain. We had a fantastic tour with Chhay and our drive Rada. Chhay gave us lots of great information and went above and beyond to ensure we got the best out of our trip to Cambodia. Highly recommend booking a trip with Journey Cambodia!
Response from the operator: Dear Caroline, Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you had such a great experience on your Angkor Park tour and decided to join us again for Kulen Mountain. Chhay and Rada will be delighted to know their efforts made your trip to Cambodia so memorable. Chhay truly loves going above and beyond for our guests. We appreciate your high recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future. Fantastic trip in Koulen mountains.
Was beautiful to see the reclining Buddha and waterfall in the Koulen mountains. Bun was a great guide and told us a lot of history and Sambath was a great driver in a lovely air-conditioned van. With lots of cold water and cooling cloths.
Response from the operator: Dear Liz, Thank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed the breathtaking views of the reclining Buddha and the waterfall at Phnom Kulen. It is wonderful to know that Bun provided such an insightful historical perspective and that Sambath ensured your journey was comfortable. We pride ourselves on those small touches like the cold water and cooling cloths, so we’re glad they made a difference in your experience. We hope to welcome you back again soon. Khulen and Angor Wat Private Tour Guide with Samneang
First off, our tour guide Samneang was the absolute best. We said he's like "AI" because of how knowledgeable he is and in explaining the culture and background of Cambodia. We not only did the Khulen Tour but also a tour of Angkor Wat at sunrise and other temples nearby. The whole trip was private with my family and was very comfortable. The driver Naro was also amazing too. I have to give him credit as well and after each stop coming back to the van, we were greeted with cold bottles of ice water, AC, and cold towel too. Back to our tour... the whole day was well excuted and planned, never feeling rushed, we saw and learned so much with Sam as our tour guide. I knew from within a few hours of our first tour that I'd be requesting him again the next time I come back. He's genuinely kind and really wants you and your family to enjoy every bit of Cambodia. It seems silly to say but I never felt the need to ask questions because Sam was so thorough with the 2 day tour. Oh, I forgot to mention but everything was on time from picking us up in the morning to dropping us off. Smooth two day tour...I was sad to leave him but when I do return, I will most definitely be booking through Journey Cambodia with Samneang. Thank you so much for an amazing experience that I will remember forever.

Wonderful experience with team journey combodia
We booked a private couple’s tour to Kulen Mountain and Banteay Srei, covering the Kulen Waterfall, Reclining Buddha, River of 1000 Lingas, the tropical forest, and Poeng TaKho (Takho Stone Shelters), and it turned out to be an absolutely wonderful experience. We were incredibly happy to have Mr. Sopheap Rath as our guide and Mr. Nat as our driver. They were right on time for pickup, and the vehicle was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Mr. Sopheap truly stood out—not only for his deep knowledge of Cambodian history and the sites we visited, but also for his thoughtful insights into local culture. What impressed us even more was his talent for photography. He knew exactly the best angles and spots at every location, helping us capture stunning photos effortlessly. He is calm, composed, and very considerate—never rushing us, never imposing timelines, and always giving us ample time to explore and enjoy each place at our own pace. His suggestions were spot on, making the entire day feel relaxed and perfectly balanced. I can highly recommend him without hesitation. Mr. Nat was equally wonderful—friendly, professional, and very patient. The refreshing cold towels and chilled water he provided at every stop were a real blessing in the heat and made the journey extremely comfortable. Everything was perfectly organized, from restroom breaks to lunch at a beautiful restaurant. Every location we visited was a marvel and absolutely worth the time. Thank you Journey Cambodia for an outstanding tour with such a friendly, knowledgeable, and photo-expert guide. This experience exceeded our expectations and will remain a highlight of our trip.
Response from the operator: Dear Senthil, Thank you so much for choosing Journey Cambodia for your private tour! We are absolutely delighted to hear that your visit to Kulen Mountain and Banteay Srei was a highlight of your trip and exceeded your expectations. We are so proud to have him as a guide. It’s great to hear that his "photo-expert" skills helped you capture stunning memories and that his calm, patient demeanor allowed you to enjoy the River of 1000 Lingas and the tropical forest at your own pace. We will be sure to share your compliments with him. Thank you for recommending us so highly. We wish you many more wonderful adventures together! Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kulen Mountain Waterfall and Historical Wonders Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Kulen Mountain Waterfall and Historical Wonders Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kulen Mountain Waterfall and Historical Wonders Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Kulen Mountain Waterfall and Historical Wonders Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kulen Mountain Waterfall and Historical Wonders Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kulen Mountain Waterfall and Historical Wonders Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Kulen Mountain Waterfall and Historical Wonders Private Tour?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kulen Mountain Waterfall and Historical Wonders Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
