A wonderful tour with Chong !

The tour with Chong was fantastic! He provided so much information about the Angkor temples; I have a note on my phone that just keeps growing. I enjoyed so much the tour, and didn't see the time passing. Chong draws parallels between Cambodian history, culture, religion, and spirituality, all with passion, humor and kindness. He loves his culture, and it shows. He knows the best spots for taking beautiful photos and helps us strike the perfect poses for wonderful memories! I highly recommend this tour with him; go for it without hesitation!

Wonderful day in Cambodia with the Chong Family!

I booked the sunrise tour through Onederz Hostel Siem Reap for $12 with a guide in addition to the $37 admission fee for a day. The experience was top notch quality, educational, and a great amount of fun! All transportation was included, we got cold water after each temple visit, and stopped for brunch in between. Our group, otherwise called the “Chong Family” consisted of 13 guests and a dedicated tour guide. The vibes were always amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! Chong exceeded every expectation from telling us in depth history, getting all the best picture angles, making us laugh the whole day, and welcoming us all in as part of his family. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough and if you’re looking to go, request Chong as your guide for the best experience!

An Unforgettable Angkor Wat Experience with an Amazing Guide

We had an amazing experience exploring the temples of Angkor Wat! The tour was very well organized, and every temple we visited was absolutely breathtaking. It was the perfect way to discover the history, culture, and incredible architecture of the Angkor complex. A special mention goes to our guide, Chong, who made the experience even more enjoyable. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and passionate about the history of the temples. He explained everything in a very interesting and easy-to-follow way, and was always happy to answer our questions. He also knew the best spots for photos and helped us avoid the busiest areas whenever possible. Angkor Wat is already an incredible experience, but having such a great guide as Chong made it truly unforgettable!

Full-Day Guided Sunset Tour of Angkor Wat: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Full-Day Guided Sunset Tour of Angkor Wat cost?

+

Prices start at $12 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-Day Guided Sunset Tour of Angkor Wat take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Full-Day Guided Sunset Tour of Angkor Wat worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 96 out of 100, which we label "Peak Performance". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2,945 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Guided Sunset Tour of Angkor Wat?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full-Day Guided Sunset Tour of Angkor Wat suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Guided Sunset Tour of Angkor Wat?

+

Around 1,031 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full-Day Guided Sunset Tour of Angkor Wat start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
