    Jewish history

At the entrance to the synagogue is a room of paintings related to the synagogue. Inside the synagogue the floor is of beautiful blue and white Chinese tiles. There is a pulpit where the rabbi sits . The Torah scrolls are decorated in gold and silver and are on view only on Friday and Saturday (Sabbath). The Torah crowns are of gold and precious gems given to Jews by neighboring Raja. On the walls are the Ten Commandments in Hebrew. The Persian carpet in front of the Ark is donated by Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie. A must visit
