What we did was great but the agent let us down
We enjoyed this trip and our driver Jai was great. However, unless they improve their act do not use this agent, ask lots of questions before using any agent. We knew we had to book places not included that we were visiting however they did not stress: 1) The importance of booking early as we could not go to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary as they were sold out, this was to be the highlight of the trip. 2) They gave us no indication of which trip to book at Periyar had it been available, boating essential so we found out too late. (As an aside Periyar to not take bookings for any of the walks if you are over 70.) 3) Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park do not accept international credit cards so we had to get the agent to book on our behalf, surely they must have known this? They tried to comfort us by paying for minor entrance fees which no way made up for missing out on Periyar. The hotels were all good but the first one we had to change room as the first room the bathroom smelled like a sewer. The girl who showed us to the room told us the hotel was full therefore no other rooms available. I had to make a further complaint at reception and guess what they found us a very nice room. I hate being lied to but the girl was probably following hotel policy. The hotel was also in the middle of nowhere, great scenery, but no bar. The majority of western tourists expect a hotel to have a bar. To finish on a positive note having to boat trip on a boat by ourselves was magical.
Response from the operator: Dear Sir, Thank you for your Review and Valuable Feedback. We will Work on our shortcomings to Improve our Services. Our Executive did reach out once we confirmed the Booking with all the details and the Pre-booking Information with the Necessary Links, but sadly was not able to convey the Urgency and Importance of Pre-boking the Periyar wildlife Boating activity. We Mostly Chose Hotels with Calm & Clear Environment for our Guests, so that our Guests can enjoy the stays better. We will Definitely Crosscheck the need of Bar with our Future Western Guests to avoid any discomfort. Thank you once again for your Insights and a Great review.

Good value to explore a lot of Kerala
Having spent our previous week up north in the Golden Triangle with a similar guided trip through a different tour company, where we got bottled water and a dedicated guide in each location, we were expecting a similar experience. Unfortunately our first driver, Robert, arrived nearly 45 minutes late to collect us and spoke very little English, to the extent we had to call the office and arrange for them to provide a new driver, Georgy, for the remainder of the trip. The itinerary was busy but we were able to adapt it where we wanted. Sadly no water included, no separate guide and the car's aircon wasn't great, but it was a good value trip with so much to see. Eravikulam National Park was spectacular, as was the boat safari and Jeep safari, but we didn't like the elephant sanctuary where the elephants were chained up to behave just for the benefit of the tourists. Give that one a miss if you are not a fan of animal cruelty! The Kathakali Dance show and Kalaripayattu martial arts show were brilliant. We chose the 4* hotels, both great, particularly the Peppervine in Thekkady. And finishing up with the private houseboat tour was a lovely way to end our epic indian adventure. It's a good way to see a lot of Kerala in a safe and good value way.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank You for your Valuable Feedback and a good Review. We appreciate your Insights and Suggestions. we will adhere to the best service possible from our side. Hope to support you for the next time you Visit Kerala. We will definitely make up for our short comings.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
5 Days Kerala Tour Package With 4 Star Stays & Private Houseboat: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kochi.
How much does 5 Days Kerala Tour Package With 4 Star Stays & Private Houseboat cost?
+
Prices start at $349 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kochi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Days Kerala Tour Package With 4 Star Stays & Private Houseboat take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kochi is not rushed.
Is 5 Days Kerala Tour Package With 4 Star Stays & Private Houseboat worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Kochi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Kerala Tour Package With 4 Star Stays & Private Houseboat?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 5 Days Kerala Tour Package With 4 Star Stays & Private Houseboat suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 5 Days Kerala Tour Package With 4 Star Stays & Private Houseboat?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kochi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kochi and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Days Kerala Tour Package With 4 Star Stays & Private Houseboat start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kochi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kochi?
+
On Outty we rank every Kochi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Local Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour with Pickup From Cruise Ships. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kochi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kochi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
