Local history and culture brought to life by a passionate local.
My guide (I have no chance of spelling his name correctly) was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about his local history and culture. His English is good, surprisingly he first started learning English from listening to cricket commentators whilst watching it as a child.

We started by meeting our guide...

We started by meeting our guide Jude, who introduced us to his beautiful country. This gentleman was way more than a guide, he was very informative, new the in's and out's and got us some great deals. We visited the tomb of Vasco De Gama, the Chinese fishing nest and some great photo opportunities of fishing boats, markets, people and dolphins in the harbor. Only negative comment its was way to short, could of spent a lot more time, due to the cruise ship schedule.

Great private tour of Kochi. We had...

Great private tour of Kochi. We had a great guide, Kumar, who was very helpful and informative. Started with a walking tour of the local shopping area in the newer part of town. Thoroughly enjoyed the Harbor Cruise. Saw many small islands where fishing villages were. Better than I expected! Old Kochi and Chinese fish nets were fun to see, too. Overall, a very nice tour. Also, stopped at a wonderful cafe, Kashi Art Cafe I think for lunch. Lovely place and the food was delicious. He added a stop at a Dhobi Ghat laundry that was very interesting, too. The weather was extremely hot...that was the only detriment.

+
On Outty we rank every Kochi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Local Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour with Pickup From Cruise Ships. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kochi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kochi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
