Pet a koala!
It was a great experience to be able to actually pet a koala and feed the kangaroos! Ben is very personable and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
Response from the operator: Hi Patricia and Robin, Thanks for participating and getting in and having so much fun on our wildlife tour. The koalas are super soft with three layers of fur so it's always lovely being able to pat them on our ranger-led encounter. Hope to meet you and any friends visiting Sydney again. Regards, Ben

Ben did a fantastic job as my guide. Great insight and everything was perfectly timed. Would highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Hi Darren, Thanks for a great day out on the Central Coast mate. Loved meeting you and hopefully next time I can take both you and your wife on a couple of day trips - you would totally dig the South Coast and the Blue Mountains! Keep in touch. Ben

Big adventures await!
This tour was full of adventure! We got up close with koalas, kangaroos, emus and crocodiles. We saw numerous beautiful beaches with the bluest water. We hiked down to a waterfall. Lunch was great! Then took a train back to Central Station. Ben was a fabulous tour guide! He was funny, knowledgeable and personable. We highly recommend this tour with Ben.
Response from the operator: Thanks for your nice words Alice and Mike! Is always enjoyable interacting with Australian wildlife on a beautiful day on the sunny Central Coast just north of Sydney. I'm glad you had an interesting experience and be great to see you both on another adventure again. Regards, Ben

Avoid the Crowds and See Australia!
This experience was like having a friend pick you up at your hotel and take you for an insider look of the area. Ben picked us up in the morning for a lovely drive to the wildlife park. He kept us all engaged the entire drive and when we arrived at the park, we were greeted by a Naturalist holding a baby alligator. It was a solid start! Ben walked us around the park where we saw a Komodo Dragon, dingo pups, tortoises, crocodiles, and kangaroos, to name a few. He took us for a private encounter with a baby koala and her handler.. it was a highlight for sure. Ben left us to explore with a set meet up time and we were off to a National Park close by. We hiked in and quickly saw a large petroglyph then continued down the path and over rocks learning about The Bush along the way. There were waterfalls, birds, gentle, flat rocks to walk across, and a gorgeous scenery. We left there and drove to the bay and watch penguins, had a great lunch, drove up to stunning views of the ocean, then off to the train station for a relaxing journey back to Sydney. We were all very happy with our trip. Never rushed, always engaged, and we made a new friend. Ben was the best, truly.
Response from the operator: Hi Susan, Mike and family, Was such a wonderful day meeting you all and exploring the Central Coast of NSW including koalas and kangaroos. Thanks for your nice words and a day of fun conversation and laughs. Be great to meet you all again next time you're visiting. Best regards, Ben Barry

Fantastic Tour with Ben!
We had an amazing experience exploring Sydney thanks to Ben! Ben was friendly, knowledgeable, and made every stop interesting with great stories and local insights. The tour was well-paced, organized, and Ben was always happy to answer questions and share recommendations for places to eat and visit afterward. Ben's enthusiasm and professionalism made the day both enjoyable and memorable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney. Thank you, Ben, for such a fantastic experience!
Response from the operator: Hi Daniel, Angelina and Venetta, It was great meeting you on not just this Koala and Kangaroos tour, but also the Australian Sheep Farm Experience with Aussie sheep dog, cow milking, whip cracking and a tractor ride. It was fabulous sharing a piece of our beautiful country in the two days we were together and hope you can all return for some more memorable moments. Many thanks, Ben Barry

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Koala & Kangaroos Experience, Waterfalls and Scenic Train Journey: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Koala & Kangaroos Experience, Waterfalls and Scenic Train Journey cost?
+
Prices start at $326 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Koala & Kangaroos Experience, Waterfalls and Scenic Train Journey take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Koala & Kangaroos Experience, Waterfalls and Scenic Train Journey worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 92 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Koala & Kangaroos Experience, Waterfalls and Scenic Train Journey?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Koala & Kangaroos Experience, Waterfalls and Scenic Train Journey suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Koala & Kangaroos Experience, Waterfalls and Scenic Train Journey?
+
Around 32 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Koala & Kangaroos Experience, Waterfalls and Scenic Train Journey start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
