About this experience

Join us in an epic journey that will showcase the natural beauty of this UNESCO world heritage listed region. It is filled with dramatic cliffs, eucalypt forests and waterflows so we don’t have time for theme parks or trendy café spots. Understand its history and grandeur with visits to the Jamieson, Megalong and Grose Valley. A quick stop to see our native animals including kangaroos, koalas, quokkas and more. Listen to our birdlife and spot wild kangaroos in the late afternoon sun. See the Three Sisters at the very best time as the sandstone rocks glow in the late afternoon sun. We start later than most tours to avoid the crowds and avoid tourist traps. Lunch and dinner are included at local Mountains venues to make this the best value small group tour.

Blue mountain tour

Melanie took very good care of us. On a rainy day.We managed to see all the sites. The 3 sisters and surrounding landscape were beautiful. Wildlife and the waterfalls. Also a great pie was had. A lovely day altogether

Response from the operator: Yes it gets tricky on a rainy day but Melanie finds that gap in the clouds so you can enjoy the views. Mel says, thanks for wearing that smile on a grey day too!

We had a the best time! Melanie was wonderful and setting up the tour with Terry went very smoothly. So great to see the koalas, the waterfalls, the kangaroos, and the loved the Megalong Valley at sunset.

Awesome friendly Australian outdoor experience

This tour was awesome!! Melanie was so friendly and welcoming. The Sydney zoo offered a look at Australian wildlife before a beautiful hike in the Blue Mountains. Lunch was lovely. The tour was brisk but I never felt rushed. The lookouts were beautiful and included an opportunity to look at wild kangaroos. The night ended with an excellent Italian dinner. I cannot stress enough how much Melanie made the experience. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better tour guide. Highly recommend!!

Response from the operator: We keep a constant pace as we have so many beautiful stops but we always allow you to take in the moment. Totally agree that Mel is a one of a kind and has so many funny stories to share along the way. We also love our dinner stop on the way home to make t a complete day our in Ozz, thank you

Late Start Blue Mountains Wildlife, Waterfalls, Small Group Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.

How much does Late Start Blue Mountains Wildlife, Waterfalls, Small Group Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $297 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Late Start Blue Mountains Wildlife, Waterfalls, Small Group Tour take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.

Is Late Start Blue Mountains Wildlife, Waterfalls, Small Group Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 318 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Late Start Blue Mountains Wildlife, Waterfalls, Small Group Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Late Start Blue Mountains Wildlife, Waterfalls, Small Group Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Late Start Blue Mountains Wildlife, Waterfalls, Small Group Tour?

+

Around 111 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Late Start Blue Mountains Wildlife, Waterfalls, Small Group Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sydney?

+

On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sydney?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sydney?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
