An Amazing First Surfing Experience for Our Kids

We booked a one-day camp for our daughters, aged 6 and 7. Although the instructor spoke several languages, neither of our girls spoke any of them. Despite the language barrier, they had an amazing time at the camp. They first learned how to ride a skateboard and then went surfing. It was their very first surfing experience, and both of them absolutely loved it. They were excited, happy, and thoroughly enjoyed their time at Surf Point. We watched from a distance and could clearly see how attentive and dedicated the instructor was. He took the time to explain, demonstrate, and support them every step of the way, putting in a great deal of effort to ensure they had a positive and memorable first surfing experience. We highly recommend Surf Point to anyone visiting Tenerife. It was a fantastic experience for our children, and we couldn’t be happier with how the day went.

Fantastic experience from start to finish!

Fantastic experience from start to finish! As soon as we arrived at the shop, we were warmly welcomed and received all the information we needed. The place is spotless, with a nice shower and a great little store where you can buy swimming and surfing gear. They responded to our messages very quickly and even sent us photos of the kids! The staff took excellent care of the children. We highly recommend this place!

An Amazing Experience We’ll Never Forget

This place truly became a highlight of our trip — somewhere we’d love to return to again. On the last day of our vacation on the island, my daughter and I decided to try surfing. She joined a kids’ surf camp with a lesson and fun activities, while I took part in a group session for adults. You don’t need to bring anything special — just a swimsuit and towel. All the equipment (wetsuit, surf shoes, board) is provided, along with full support from the instructor throughout the entire lesson. The class starts with a brief theory session on the beach, followed by hands-on practice in the water. The location is perfect for beginners — not too deep and spacious enough for learning safely. Thanks to the amazing instructors, both my daughter and I managed to stand up on the board during our very first session! What I especially appreciated is that after the lesson, the instructors showed us photos and gave us helpful feedback on what to improve — such a thoughtful touch. I'm so glad we found this wonderful spot. A big thank you to Francesco for all the support and encouragement! 😉

    Great kids surf camp!

My 7 y.o. daughter surfed 5 days in a kids camp and totally loved it! Instructors knew how to communicate with children and took great care of them. We would love to come back one day. And it's so good that Tenerife Surf Point arranges such activities for kids, since they also deserve their surf camp fun and joy! Well done guys!

Kids Holidays Surf Camp: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does Kids Holidays Surf Camp cost?

    +

Prices start at $42 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kids Holidays Surf Camp take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is Kids Holidays Surf Camp worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kids Holidays Surf Camp?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kids Holidays Surf Camp suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kids Holidays Surf Camp?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kids Holidays Surf Camp start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
