    Not family friendly

While our guide tried, I wouldn't recommend this for young children. Our tour guide wasn't as knowledgeable and she was focused on current stories versus historical facts. Our children know nothing of the current royal family. We had to keep prompting to ask for historical facts. I would not recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the feedback you have shared with us. All our guides are professional and very experienced with a great knowledge of history. We have spoken to the tour guide who has advised us that you have requested the tour to be completed within two hours. The guide has provided all the relevant historical information but she has also tried to accommodate your request to move on to the next site. Her feeling was the customer didn’t want to spend too much time at one site as she has been asked to move on shortly after she has started providing the information. The guide has balanced the requests from the client to complete the tour within a certain time, to move on when she has been asked to and also to provide the relevant historical information. At the same time she did her best to make sure the kids were focused and engaged during the tour. London has a rich history and it is very hard to cover it all within two hours but we would like to reassure you our guide has done the best to find the right balance between time and historical information. We are really sorry if our tour didn’t fully meet your expectations. The tour has been provided in accordance with the tour descriptions and your requirements on the day have been taken into account. We have planned this tour for approximately 3 hours in order to have sufficient time for all the information but you have particularly requested a shorter duration and you have also advised the guide that you were running late and requested the tour to start at 10:00am instead of 09:30 am. Please be reassured that you have received the best service from our guide who is a long established guide and very professional. Wishing you and your family a very happy 2024 and hope you’ll book with us again in the near future.

    A really kid's friendly tour

We recently booked a 'Best of London' tour for families with London Tours For Kids and Families. The booking process was very easy and we even got to agree on some itinerary adjustments, so that we could accommodate some specific places (and some special kids' requirements) into the tour. We were lucky enough to have Dan assigned as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and incredibly fun! We visited the 'most wanted' places and we also learnt very interesting stories and fun facts about London. This tour was not only a great introduction to the city and its history, but it was also the best way to cover the two main neighborhoods (Westminster and City, including the changing of the Guard), in one single morning. We are very happy to have done it and we highly recommend it!

Kid-Friendly London Tour of Must-See Sites with Downing Street & Exclusive Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Kid-Friendly London Tour of Must-See Sites with Downing Street & Exclusive Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kid-Friendly London Tour of Must-See Sites with Downing Street & Exclusive Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Kid-Friendly London Tour of Must-See Sites with Downing Street & Exclusive Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kid-Friendly London Tour of Must-See Sites with Downing Street & Exclusive Guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kid-Friendly London Tour of Must-See Sites with Downing Street & Exclusive Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kid-Friendly London Tour of Must-See Sites with Downing Street & Exclusive Guide?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kid-Friendly London Tour of Must-See Sites with Downing Street & Exclusive Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
