It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design. Pasupatinath Temple , Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in the world and lies 5 kms east of the city center. Swayambhunath Stupa , The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site) Watches over the valley from the top of a hillock on its western side. The huge stupa is one of the holiest Buddhists sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Copra Danda Trek, perfect even during monsoon season — Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure highly recommended!

Actually, with trekking just a week away, the company I originally booked with had a problem, so I had to urgently find another place. I asked Gemini out of my anxious feelings, and it recommended Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure, and looking back now, it was a truly excellent choice. Furthermore, I was very worried because the time I trekked was during the monsoon season, but it was very reassuring that you responded while checking the local situation in real-time. Thanks to your quick judgment based on road conditions and weather changes, I was able to focus entirely on trekking without any anxiety. Even though it was the monsoon season, the clear weather every morning made the scenery feel even more beautiful. Even though the schedule was decided hastily, the Copra Danda trekking was a wonderful experience from start to finish. All the schedules were managed perfectly, like a flowing stream, so I could focus entirely on the trekking without worrying about logistics or preparations. The accommodation was always comfortable, and the food was really delicious. There was nothing lacking—there was always plenty of water, tea was served several times a day, and fresh fruit platters were served as dessert in the evening. It felt like a really welcome gift after a long day of trekking 😋 What was particularly surprising was the price. I couldn't believe I could receive a service of this quality at such an unbelievably low price. It is no exaggeration to say that it is at a level that is almost generous, beyond just being cost-effective. What I liked the most was the flexibility. I needed to adjust the schedule to suit my condition in the Copra Danda section, but you handled it so smoothly without any fuss, allowing me to continue trekking safely without overexerting myself. Also, even when my hiking boots broke halfway through and it was very uncomfortable, you took meticulous care of me so I could finish the trek safely. I really want to thank Guide Vishnu. They were consistently kind and thoughtful throughout the trekking, always going the extra mile. Despite the variables of the monsoon season and the tight schedule changes, the fact that you prepared so perfectly made this journey even more special thanks to your consideration and professionalism. For this price, this kind of service, Himalayan Sanctuary Adventure is highly recommended! I confidently recommend it to anyone planning a Nepal trek 🥰

Khopra Danda Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Khopra Danda Trek cost?

    +

Prices start at $859 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Khopra Danda Trek take?

    +

Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Khopra Danda Trek worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Khopra Danda Trek?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Khopra Danda Trek suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 336-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Khopra Danda Trek?

    +

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Khopra Danda Trek start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
