Kefalonia /Cefalonia❤️

July 23, 2026 Wonderful day, booked with Olympia Transfer Kefalonia Tours, Peter as our guide, even though he didn't speak Italian he described the trip to us with an audio stick, arrived at Lake Melissani, 20 min boat trip, then we headed to the Drogarati caves, after which he took us to Antisamos beach, wonderful, crystal clear water and white pebbles, on the way back from the beach he stopped to let us take photos of Myrtos beach, a paradise, the trip started at 8:00 in the morning and we were brought back to the port at 16:00. All for 40€ Would I do it again? Yes, yes and always yes. Thank you!!! Esther and Walter Celano.

Great tour for a cruise ship stop

It was a gret tour overal, with some tiny comments in caviats. It was booked to start at 09:00, but we were asked to gather at 08:30 to avoid the crowd. It's a good idea and it worked well, however the cave lake would have looked a bit better with more sunshine inside. After the lake and the cave we stopped at Antisamos beach, which is a very nice one, great infrasctructure and vivid green sourroundings and plenty sunbeds (some free and some for pay, both with some consumption expected). We couldn't stop at Myrthos due to landslides, but that's not in control of the staff. Although we could take breath taking photos of Myrthos from above. Recommended for cruise ship tourist, it fits the time perfectly, with a safe margin to return to the ship, even it lasted a bit longer than described. Though, the price was a bit high comparing to our speedboat trip in Zakynthos.

Great road trip and informative host

Great road trip, Michael was very informative. Only complaint is that the itinerary is misleading we thought we were visiting x 2 beaches Myrtos and anti samos. However we only visited anti samos (we did want to see Myrtos beach) The itinerary needs to be changed to reflect this that you only get to visit one of the beaches not both.

Kefalonia: Melissani, Drogarati & Beach Small-Group Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cephalonia.

How much does Kefalonia: Melissani, Drogarati & Beach Small-Group Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cephalonia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kefalonia: Melissani, Drogarati & Beach Small-Group Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cephalonia is not rushed.

Is Kefalonia: Melissani, Drogarati & Beach Small-Group Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cephalonia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kefalonia: Melissani, Drogarati & Beach Small-Group Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kefalonia: Melissani, Drogarati & Beach Small-Group Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Kefalonia: Melissani, Drogarati & Beach Small-Group Tour?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cephalonia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cephalonia and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kefalonia: Melissani, Drogarati & Beach Small-Group Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cephalonia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cephalonia?

+

On Outty we rank every Cephalonia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include "Dreamy cruise"Daily Cruise from Argostoli harbour with a traditional Greek boat, "QueenBee" Full-Day Boat Trip with Lunch, Kefalonia Island Bus Tour- Wine Tasting, Melissani & Fiscardo. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cephalonia?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cephalonia?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
