Argostolion
Argostoli has been the capital of the Kefallonia Region since 1757. It is the island’s commercial and administrative centre, and has beautiful neo-classical buildings. It’s a modern city with a remarkable historic and cultural tradition. Argostoli, built amphitheatrically with a view to the Lagoon of Koutavos, overlooks the fir tree-covered Aenos. Viewing Catavothres which is one of the rarest phenomena: large quantities of seawater penetrate the land at the location of Agii Theodori at Lassi without retrogressing, re-appearing by the village of Karavomylos near Sami.

Monastery of Agios Gerasimos
Τhe Holy Monastery of St. Gerasimos in the “Omala” valley. There, twice a year thousands of believers attending to venerate devoutly Saint Gerasimos relic and to pray. The Saints have been attributed numerous miracles and certainly the landscape is very devout.

Melissani Cave
Τhe unique cave lake of Melissani, where we meet a rare geological phenomenon. The water enters the limestone rock, erodes the rocks and creates cavities in a process called karstification. Fiscardo
Fiskardo is an old fishing village whose houses were left untouched by the earthquake of 1953. Today is one of the most famous tourist resorts of Greece. It has an excellent tourist infrastructure with restaurants, cafes and bars and its sheltered harbor is full of yachts. Fiskardo is also famous for its traditional architecture and the cosmopolitan port. Is the homeland of the famous poet of the sea, Nikos Kavvadias. A walk in the traditional village will fill you with unique images of aristocratic Kefalonia that cannot be found anywhere else on the island. The old preservable 18th century mansions with small balconies, narrow streets, dozens of tourist shops, taverns and cafes operating around the harbor creating pictures taken from a painting.

DAY TOUR / Myrtos, caves and Assos
We had the most magnificent day trip organised by SEVEN sailing and tourism. Kostas ( our tour guide) was so kind, funny and knowledgeable. He tailored the day to places we wanted to visit plus he added some views he knew we shouldn’t miss. We visited the caves, had lunch in the beautiful village of Assos and had a swim at Myrtos beach. The day was perfect! We can highly recommend booking with this company and having Kostas as your tour guide.

Hidden Gems of Kefalonia!
We had a wonderful full-day private tour in Kefalonia and visited several beautiful locations across the island. Some of the places we saw would have been very difficult to find without a local guide. The air-conditioned vehicle was very comfortable, especially during the warm weather, and the entire day was well organized. The team was professional, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend Kefalonia Tours & Excursions for anyone wanting to explore the island beyond the usual tourist spots.

A fantastic full day tour of Kefalonia with Costas
This was a wonderful experience for us. Two people, one driver/guide (Costas) in an air conditioned Mercedes van, which Costas drove with skill and care. We elected to be met at 8am and this helped being ahead of long queues. We not only visited everything listed but had many special surprises. Costas was amazing, kind, knowledgeable and considerate of our needs. He always accompanied us for the sightseeing. We learned so much about the history and way of life on Kefalonia, an island that has many hidden treasures. Costas was born and raised in Kefalonia and he openly shared his passion for this beautiful island.
