Worst experience
One of the worst experiences ever. This is clearly a pop up shop for quick money from tourists. From start to finish the guide was moody. Picture this.... I'm your guide, you hold the paddle like this, you do this, heavier one in front, lighter one in back, if you need help hold your paddle up. That was literally it!. Less than 5 minutes. No explanation on if we are all holding the paddle correctly, safety briefs on what to do to stabilise yourself if met with a big wave or if we Capsize etc. Guess what, that is exactly what happened, and when this occurred the guide's face was so annoyed, like he was fuming. When we tried to get back into the kayak very much struggling because we were way out and took a big bashing from the sea. He didn't even ask us if we were okay, or reach out his paddle to pull us in. Even with the life jacket I was getting bashed with the waves barely able to stay afloat, he just stared at us. When finally in the kayak again, and ofcourse shaken up, we tried our hardest to paddle against the strong currents. Clearly struggling, he just went way ahead, not bothering to see if we were okay. Remember at the start, when you said if you are in danger hold your paddle up? How is it possible for you too see us if you are racing way ahead?. As I did not feel safe with this guide, made the decision to not continue. He said okay I'll call my colleague and tell them, then just went away. Me and my partner were getting sucked away by the current and with all our might and adrenaline got back to shore and greeted with another moody guide, who was moaning about how we came in at the worst possible bit etc and how dangerous this is.... Excuse me, we got your rubbish Kayak that didn't have any seats back to you in one piece. The equipment is dirty, smelly, and life jackets are rubbish, if you value your life, do not go with these negligent idiots who act like you are a burden. THIS IS YOUR JOB, easily could of died with this idiot

A must do if you’re in the area!
What an amazing day! Our tour guide Adrian was very friendly and knowledgeable he was so kind and caring, even going snorkling to search for someone’s missing belongings! Unfortunately I injured my knee before I came on holiday but the whole team were extremely accommodating including setting off from a different beach so it was safer for me to get into the kayaks. The reception guy Borja was also very friendly and helpful, he walked with me and my boyfriend to the beach and carried my crutches back to the office and made sure they were waiting for me on the beach on our return just so I wouldn’t be without. The whole experience was incredible, we saw 3 dolphins and a turtle and our guide Adrian took some lovely photos that we will treasure! Adrian even took time out of his day to guide us to one of his highly commended restaurants following the tour. We would definitely be back in a heartbeat. Undeniable 5 stars, unforgettable experience.

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kayaking + snorkeling with turtles: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Kayaking + snorkeling with turtles cost?
+
Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kayaking + snorkeling with turtles take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Kayaking + snorkeling with turtles worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 150 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kayaking + snorkeling with turtles?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kayaking + snorkeling with turtles suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Kayaking + snorkeling with turtles?
+
Around 53 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kayaking + snorkeling with turtles start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
