A wonderful walking tour
Madan was again my tour guide. We walked in the Kathmandu Durbar Square and downtown. We dropped by Indrachowk and I tried Yomari, a traditional Newari food. Again I have learned much from Madan, the Nepalese history, the culture and the stories about the Hindism and Buddhism. Rakesh, the driver, who picked up me at hotel and dropped me back at the hotel was nice and safe
Response from the operator: Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed another enriching experience with Madan. We’re glad you got to explore more, including trying traditional Yomari! We're also happy to hear Rakesh provided safe and pleasant transport. We truly appreciate your continued trust and hope to welcome you back again soon! Best Regards, Breakfree Adventures Nepal. +977 9851014557 (WhatsApp)

Raghu Nepal's #1 Tour Guide
I took my first solo international trip to Kathmandu, Nepal and it was outstanding, primarily due to the exceptional efforts of my tour guide Raghu Nath Pradham. I stayed 4 days, two nights in Kathmandu and one night in Nagarkot, touring the grand Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries, shopped in Thamel, viewed an actual cremation ceremony at the Arya Ghats, walked across the Rani Jhula hanging bridge, viewed the vast Himalayans from my hotel balcony and so much more! It was an awesome trip. Raghu is not only extremely knowledgeable in the history of the Hindu and Buddhist religions and Nepalese culture, he was also a lot of fun to walk and ride around with. Very personable and understanding. Raghu knew when to step back and permit me additional time at an attraction that truly captivated me. My Nepal trip, which was initially meant as an educational experience, turned into an amazing spiritual adventure. I will not forget this 4 day trip, scheduled in the middle of my tight work week. I would not have been able to come up with the perfect itinerary on my own, nor accomplish all on the list, without Raghu's incredible organizational skills and knowledge of Nepal's lay out. Raghu, you are the best tour guide I have ever encounter. I am thankful my friends M and J recommended your services last month. Now you have three happy clients who adore you and will happily refer you to others.
Response from the operator: Dear Dawn, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that your first solo international trip to Kathmandu was outstanding, thanks to Raghu Nath. It's great to know that his knowledge, personality, and organizational skills made your 4-day trip memorable and turned it into an amazing spiritual adventure. We're glad you enjoyed the temples, monasteries, shopping, and incredible views. We appreciate your high recommendation and are delighted to have three happy clients who adore Raghu. We look forward to welcoming you back! Kind regards, Breakfree Adventures Nepal. +977 9851014557 (WhatsApp)

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kathmandu Walking Tour with Local Guide & Authentic Food Tasting: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Kathmandu Walking Tour with Local Guide & Authentic Food Tasting cost?
+
Prices start at $13 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kathmandu Walking Tour with Local Guide & Authentic Food Tasting take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Kathmandu Walking Tour with Local Guide & Authentic Food Tasting worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kathmandu Walking Tour with Local Guide & Authentic Food Tasting?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kathmandu Walking Tour with Local Guide & Authentic Food Tasting suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Kathmandu Walking Tour with Local Guide & Authentic Food Tasting?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kathmandu Walking Tour with Local Guide & Authentic Food Tasting start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
