Punctual and Reliable – Great Views!
We did the Everest mountain flight with this company and had a great experience. They were punctual and the staff were friendly and professional throughout. The weather was unstable that day, but luckily we got clear views during our flight. Before takeoff, the team checked the conditions for us and promised a refund if we didn’t get to see the mountains. Fortunately, we saw everything, so it wasn’t needed, but it was reassuring to know they stood by that promise. Highly recommend!

Amazing mountain flight with views of the Himalayas
The experience was great. We managed to negotiate a good price for the trip and we’re picked up from our hotel and taken to the airport where there was a bit of a delay which was not explained but it was clear that the other mountain flights were all delayed so was fine We were the. Taken to the plane and had two very sweet and accommodating cabin crew who explained it was due to waiting for the weather to improve Once we got up above the clouds was amazing. We were encouraged to move about the cabin for better views and the cabin crew came to everyone individually and explained which mountains were in view. I thoroughly recommended this experience
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the mountain flight and the breathtaking views of the Himalayas. We appreciate your understanding regarding the slight delay at the airport—weather-related adjustments are quite common for mountain flights, and we’re glad our team kept you comfortable throughout the process. It’s great to know that the cabin crew took good care of you and ensured you had the best views and explanations during the flight. We are thrilled that the experience was memorable and that you would highly recommend it. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you again for more incredible adventures in Nepal! Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kathmandu: Everest Flight by Plane or Helicopter Landing Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Kathmandu: Everest Flight by Plane or Helicopter Landing Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kathmandu: Everest Flight by Plane or Helicopter Landing Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Kathmandu: Everest Flight by Plane or Helicopter Landing Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kathmandu: Everest Flight by Plane or Helicopter Landing Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kathmandu: Everest Flight by Plane or Helicopter Landing Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Kathmandu: Everest Flight by Plane or Helicopter Landing Tour?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kathmandu: Everest Flight by Plane or Helicopter Landing Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
