About this experience
The Kanchenjunga circuit takes you on a journey through some of Nepal's most varied landscapes, including crystal clear rivers, dense jungle woodland, unspoiled Nepali villages, and some of the most epic mountain scenery seen anywhere in the mighty Himalayas. During the trek you visit both the North and South Base Camp, giving you multiple-angle views of one of the tallest mountains on Earth. As the trail is newly established compared to the other major trekking routes in Nepal, the villages along the way are yet to develop and reach the potential to accommodate many tourists. This means that for the trekkers, even during peak season, the trail will be less crowded and quieter than other trekking trails. So if you are looking for an adventure off the beaten track, this is the trek for you. Our experienced team of guides have years of guiding experience with them and are ready to help you get the most out of your trek, and make your time in the mountains the most special it can be.

Kanchenjunga in september by Nepal Wilderness Trekking, an unforgettable experience
Abinta is outstanding from start to finish. She knows everything about the region’s culture, nature, and trails, she enriched every step of our journey to Kanchenjunga region. Her friendly, warm personality made us feel welcome and cared for, and her calm support during difficult passages inspired confidence. She is always attentive, stepping in with help before somebody even asked, and her strong focus on safety allowed us to relax and enjoy the experience fully. Thanks to her competence, patience, and genuine passion for her work, we had an unforgettable adventure—one we will remember with gratitude for a very long time. A 5 star trip

Amazing Kanchenjunga hike
We had an incredible experience doing the Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek with Nepal Nirvana Trails. From the first contact, KP was very friendly and provided us with a lot of information and help. He was responding very quickly and clearly to our questions and made sure everything was organised well. During the trek, our guide Jangbu made sure that we had the best possible experience. From sharing his extensive knowledge about the area, the nature and the culture, to being a really nice person to be around and making sure that we were taken care of well during our stays at the teahouses, he made our time at the trek a memory to never forget!
Response from the operator: Dear Sjors, Namaste! Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear you had an incredible experience on the Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek. It was our pleasure to support your journey, and we’re glad Jangbu made it even more memorable with his care and knowledge. The Annapurna Circuit and Mardi Himal
The trip was just incredible, KP organised the perfect trip based off what we asked to do and we loved it. We did the Annapurna circuit and Mardi Himal, which were both just stunning. I didn’t know too much about the circuit before starting so that was one of the reasons we got a guide and I am glad that we did. The route they took us on started quite low on the circuit which was great, it means that we got the full experience as the nature and culture changes the higher you bet into the route. It seems that on most tours you miss out on this. Also our guide Raju was just the most lovely man and took great care of us as well as teaching us some Nepali card games. Also everyone from Nirvana was so great when my friend got sick in Pokhara and had to go to hospital. They made it also so easy to change our plans and to make it as stress free as possible. All in all I couldn’t recommend Nirvana Trails more highly!
Response from the operator: Dear James, Namaste! Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that you had an incredible experience on the Annapurna Circuit and Mardi Himal treks. It was a pleasure organizing your adventure, and we’re so glad Raju could make it even more special. Your recommendation truly means a lot to us! Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek 19 Days: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek 19 Days cost?
+
Prices start at $2000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek 19 Days take?
+
Plan for about 456 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek 19 Days worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek 19 Days?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek 19 Days suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 456-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek 19 Days?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 456-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek 19 Days start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
