Your group will also view many photos of victims, crime scenes and the area from 1888 all on a back-lit 14" tablet which enables you to see these clearly even in the dark! Your group will hear many pre-recorded sections while walking from stop to stop, such as, the police chasing Jack the Ripper, questioning a tenant about suspicious people in the area, street vendors cries, newspaper sellers shouting headlines, music from the time and other background noises. Also, at the murder sites pre-recorded of events leading up to that murder, the murder or the discovery of the body afterwards. This is the ONLY Jack the Ripper tour to include these extra sections which give you a real feeling of being back in 1888!

Here at Annie Chapman's murder site you will hear about Annie's life, the tragic events that led up to her death on 8th Sept 1888. How she was seen les than an hour before she was murdered by Mrs Long with a man here outside no 27. How he enticed her into the backyard of 29 with promises of money and even how she was brutally murdered. A prominent suspect who was later discounted and photo's of victim and murder site.

Updated email needed
To start we were not even on the list to be on the tour. Had to produce an email to prove we booked and paid, so it was not off to a great start. After our purchase we got an email with over 50 paragraphs of rules and regulations. The tour didn’t even follow their own rules or email. There is also contradicting info within their own email. We did not get private headphones, our guide had a mic and I’m guessing a speaker hanging around their neck. I am very hard of hearing and I did not hear most of the tour. I really should have just left the tour and did something more enjoyable. With that said my wife had a good time, the guide was animated and tried to include those in the tour. We did get to see a side of London that was mostly free of tourist. Their was nothing immersive about this tour. The attached photo is the paper she gave us at the start. Again not doing their part. For me the best part was the end.
Response from the operator: Unfortunately my booking system, which sends out confirmations automatically, sent out two different confirmations to you I was not aware this was happening until you wrote this review. The Immersive Tour is a different tour, which at the moment is a Private tour only for groups of 5+, it is not available on the public walk so that part of the confirmatoion was incorrect. I am sorry you thought you were going on the Immersive Tour. By the way there is no attached photo as it is not possible to attach a photo in Viator messaging but if you are reffering to the handout that we give people at the start I cannot understand what you mean as no-one has ever criticised this before? We do use a mic especially when a tour has a large number of people and unfortunately you came on a very busy night. We cannot have the mic too loud as local people have complained about noise to the City of London Police on several occassions. I appreciate that it is frustrating when you can hear properly as I am also deaf in one ear. If you had told me you were hard of hearing at the beginning I would have suggested you stand at the front where you have had maximum opportunity to hear properly.

Loved this tour
Our guide Jenny was fantastic. Energetic and knowledgeable guided us through the London roads and kept us interested and engaged. Gave us really interesting information about the area, photos, incredible details. With the headphones we get deeply immersed in the story and while we walk we are always connected so don’t miss any information. I loved this tour! Jenny is amazing, a true ripperologist and I really recommend this tour.
