This walk takes a different approach: following the streets, public spaces, neighborhoods, and surviving traces that reveal how the city changed from Constantinople to Ottoman Istanbul and into the city of today. Begin inside Topkapı Palace's First Courtyard, then move from the monumental center around Hagia Sophia and the Hippodrome into Kadırga's neighborhood streets. Along the way, encounter a Greek Orthodox church, an Ottoman hammam, the route of the ancient Mese, the Column of Constantine, the Grand Bazaar, and Beyazıt Square. Rather than moving from attraction to attraction, the walk connects these places as parts of one evolving city — imperial, religious, civic, residential, and commercial. Tour a piedi di Sultanahmet: esperienza deludente
We booked a Sultanahmet walking tour online, but unfortunately, the experience with our guide was very disappointing. First of all, his English was extremely poor and often difficult to understand. His explanations felt like he was simply repeating memorized sentences rather than actually explaining the history in a clear and engaging way. What was even more frustrating was that he spent a surprising amount of time talking about old hammams in Istanbul, even though this had nothing to do with the itinerary we had booked. Instead of focusing on Sultanahmet and the historical sites included in our tour, he repeatedly returned to the subject of hammams. At the end of the tour, he asked us to follow him on Instagram and also gave us his business card. In fact, we found this page through the business card he gave us during the tour. We found this kind of self-promotion unnecessary and unprofessional during a guided tour. Overall, we expected a knowledgeable guide with good English who would focus on the advertised itinerary and the historical sites we had booked to visit. Unfortunately, this was not the experience we received.

Very informative, flexible, really recommended. Ugur was very helpful knowledgeable and accommodating. Most memorable sights were the Ayasofia and Topkapi palace.
