The best Tour worth every penny!

I don’t think we could have asked for a better tour guide than Burak. If you get him you’ll be quite lucky. He knows a lot of about the history of everything and will give you insights on all the monuments, as well as tell you which ones are worth going to or not. We learned a lot on this trip and burak made the experience so much better by taking us to all the right spots, helping us try Turkish cuisine and telling us the do’s and don’t’s of the country, which is really important when you’re travelling with limited money. 10/10 recommend. I would definitely want him to be my tour guide if I ever visit again.

    All smiles in Istanbul

Numan Tasdogen was most wonderful during our tour with him in Istanbul. He is very personable and knowledgeable about Turkey in general, it's people, religions and customs and specifically about Istanbul. He made helpful suggestions for itinerary changes, which we gladly accepted and were pleased with his suggestions. As a result. We were able to visit the Asia side as well as the European side. We were very pleased with Guided Istanbul Tours, our professional guide and our driver. I recommend these folks to anyone looking for an exceptional experience in Istanbul.

Hire a guide - makes a huge difference

This tour provided ample evidence that a knowledgeable personal guide (Halil) was well worth the extra cost. We were able to select, with input from Halil, what we wanted to see (and not see). We got the most out of our tour.

    Must do tour with Numan

Our tour guide Numan was excellent. We started at 8:30am and met at German Fountain. From there we went to the Blue Mosque, Haggia Sophia, Tokapi Palace, Hippodrome, and Grand Bazaar. We never had to wait in line because Numan knew how to get tickets quickly and easily. It would have been much more effort and not as convenient without him. He told us all about the history of the Ottomans and Turks and the significance of each place we went. I would highly recommend booking with him to anyone who visits. He was very honest with us and helped us avoid tourist places. He never made us buy anything and never tried to hard sell us into any experiences. For example, the price of the palace went up to 60 euro, and he told us many of the tours skip it because it is expensive. Instead of telling us “you have to go!”. I appreciated how straightforward he was when we went to shop vendors as well. I think he always had our interest in mind.

    Loved Istanbul

We had a wonderful, thoughtful guide, Ahmed, for two days. We learned such a lot. Ahmed even took us to a different cistern because of my friend’s difficulty with stairs. He was very attentive and helpful.

Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.

How much does Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.

Is Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 98 out of 100, which we label "Peak Performance". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9,969 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour?

    +

Around 3,489 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Istanbul?

    +

On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour, Princes Islands Blue Journey from Old City Istanbul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Istanbul?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Istanbul?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
