The full Turkish bath experience in the old city of Istanbul
I booked the full package — nearly two hours of spa treatment — as a treat to myself while visiting Istanbul. I’d never experienced anything like this before From the moment I arrived, it felt like a first-class experience. The facility is stunning — marble everywhere, and kept warm enough that you can walk around comfortably in just your shorts. I was led to a private changing room and felt like a truly special guest from start to finish. You’re paired with one specialist who stays with you the entire time. I was lucky enough to have Serkan. We began in a beautiful marble washing area with gold faucets, where I used a golden bowl to pour warm water over myself again and again. From there: a lavender salt scrub with a traditional loofah, a full mud treatment, several rinses, and a massage on a warm marble table covered in inches of foam. Then more washing, a hair wash and scalp massage, and a towel-dry before being wrapped up for a relaxing break with nuts, blackberry juice, and dried fruit. The experience finished with a Swedish-style massage using a wonderful lotion, while I wore a collagen mask that left my skin so refreshed I I wonder if I still match my passport picture and I’m going to have trouble getting out of here. I’d specifically request Serkan again. He’s warm, positive, and has eight years of experience that really shows — he explained everything he was doing and why, so I never felt rushed or confused. He’s simply a kind, generous person whose whole focus for those two hours was making me feel, in his words, “like a Sultan.” I left with a parting gift of olive oil soap and a handmade traditional Turkish cotton towel. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Relaxing and luxurious time
Loved the hamman experience. My hamman guide (Wilek) was really good and was able to perform the ritual with great care and attention. Loved it and would do it again. The snacks and drinks provided were a good way to relax even after the hamman.

Fatih made this the highlight of my Istanbul stop
Booked a traditional bath at Hürrem Sultan Hamamı between flights and I'm glad I did. The building itself is stunning — marble, domed light, centuries of history — but Fatih is what elevated it from a nice tourist stop to something I'd genuinely go back for. He was professional, warm, and clearly knows his craft. The scrub and foam massage were thorough without being rough, and he read exactly how much pressure to use. He explained each step, never rushed anything, and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I walked out feeling completely reset after a long stretch of travel. If you're going, ask for Fatih. Worth every lira.
