Late Night Dinner Cruise
Looking for something to do on a 23hr layover in beautiful Istanbul? Look no further. Our flight was scheduled to land in Istanbul around 7pm, and we were looking for an activity that would allow us to see the city and its majestic landmarks lit up at night. Our ETA wouldn't allow for us to join a larger dinner cruise on the Bosphorus, so when I found a private cruise that could leave at any time that fit our schedule, I was quick to book the activity. Having picked the time at booking, I was contacted by the company within the day and given some options to customize the cruise. Dinner/snacks/drinks and hotel transfers were all arranged over a few exchanged messages making it truly one-stop and very convenient. Upon arrival in Istanbul it was easy to contact and confirm all arrangements were in place. Transfer information for the driver was provided and promptly arrived. We were taken directly to the meeting spot and welcomed right on board. With only 3 of us in the group, having the whole boat to ourselves felt very luxe. Dinner was an amazing selection of local flavors, which was picked up from a café on the Galata Bridge right after we boarded. The servings were generous and the mezze plentiful, all tasted amazing. Cruising along the Bosphorus, taking in the sights and enjoying a delicious meal was everything we needed to truly feel the vibe of the city. Personalized and friendly service was the icing on the cake.

Private cruise
Great mini cruise, The boat was comfortable and crew service minded. You can also order some drinks and snacks on board, which was nice.

Wonderful yatch cruise day trip
Wonderful trip. It was the best option I took. A very small group gives you the oportunity to move through out the whole yatch cruise. The staff too kindly and they provided us a wonderful plate of fruit and additional snacks. Definitely I recommend it.

Waste of money! Slow and hot!
Easy last minute booking. We booked an 11am charter and showed up at pier 10 mins early. The boat was there on time at 11am. The Man at the pier spoke English and he told us that we could just talk to the guys on the boat if we wanted to extend past our booked 1 hour trip. No thank you! The guys operating the boat spoke NO English. The boat moved at a snail’s pace and never picked up speed. Ferries and fishing vessels were passing us on both sides. Kayaks and canoes would have passed us. It was hot with next to no breeze and I had to use Google Translate to ask them to please speed up. They barely acknowledged me and did not speed up. I don’t know if they were trying to waste time or save gas. Maybe both. No one attempted to tell us what we were seeing or communicate at all. No pleasantries were exchanged. We then stopped on the Asian side to pick up their friend or colleague. Yes, during our one hour booking. Just fyi- We took a public ferry to kadikoy the next day and had a lovely, breezy 20 minute ride for $1.50 each way. Save your money- ride the public ferry!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience didn’t meet your expectations. However, we’d like to clarify a few points: • This is a private yacht tour, not a public ferry. It’s designed for a calm, relaxing cruise, not speed. If you expected fast transportation, a public ferry would indeed be more suitable — but that’s a very different product. • Our team on board may have limited English, but they are trained to provide a safe and smooth trip. Communication issues could have been resolved via WhatsApp from our support teamm • Picking up a colleague briefly during the route is not standard, but sometimes unavoidable for operational reasons — the tour time is still fully honored. We value your input and will review the situation internally. Still, comparing a customized private yacht experience to a $1.50 ferry ride isn’t quite fair — they serve different purposes.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Istanbul: Luxury Private Yacht Cruise on the Bosphorus: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.
How much does Istanbul: Luxury Private Yacht Cruise on the Bosphorus cost?
+
Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Istanbul: Luxury Private Yacht Cruise on the Bosphorus take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.
Is Istanbul: Luxury Private Yacht Cruise on the Bosphorus worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Istanbul: Luxury Private Yacht Cruise on the Bosphorus?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Istanbul: Luxury Private Yacht Cruise on the Bosphorus suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Istanbul: Luxury Private Yacht Cruise on the Bosphorus?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Istanbul: Luxury Private Yacht Cruise on the Bosphorus start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Istanbul?
+
On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Istanbul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Istanbul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
