Scammed? No codes/start link sent and no one will respond to my requests for refunds or an explanation

If I had actually been able to do the experience, my review might be different, however after booking through ACCOR with my membership, I received a confirmation email with booking reference and a link to ‘validate’ my tickets on the day. Upon arrival at St Paul’s, we searched high & low for someone to explain where we should be & what to do, I tried validating the ticket (even though it said it must be done by a member of staff) and nothing happened. I had no additional information or messages, and the only ‘support’ was a form to complete to ACCOR or Fever. After over an hour of trying to activate the city exploration experience, asking various staff and other people providing walking tours that day, we simply had to give up. I contacted both ACCOR and Fever to explain and request a refund, but neither company would take responsibility for the fact that I wasn’t given the code/correct link/ whatever should have been done to activate the first clue. I’ve done these outdoor city exploration games before and understand the process of getting clues sent to your phone etc but never have I had an issue with it even starting. So now, I’m £35 out of pocket for absolutely nothing at all. It feels like I’ve been scammed.

Response from the operator: Please reach out to us at hello@citydays.com and we'll see what's gone wrong - we don't have your booking or any of this correspondence - maybe lost at Viator/accor?

    Enjoyable and fun

Very interesting however some of the clues don’t quite match up to the location! Be prepared to walk a long way! It’s difficult to get to requested location if you can’t get a signal on your phone!!!

Response from the operator: Hi Hayley, sorry to hear things didn't align for oyu - are you able to reach out to us at hello@citydays.com so we can explore further!

    All Gone South

Quite frustrating at times with the clues but fun. Lots of walking and up and down stairs on our chosen experience, which wasn’t great when you have knee issues. With all our hints and getting lost we racked up our time which made us bottom , lol, and we were booked for our next activity quite soon after so I recommend not booking anything close to this as you may need extra time like we did.

Response from the operator: Glad to hear you had a lovely time overall - don't worry about that end time, just enjoy your own pace and using the hints/losts as required!

    The Secret City interactive tour

London all gone South. We were wondering what to do for the day having taken in a lot of the top sightseeing attractions. Searching google we found “secret city”. What a find, we had a great time visiting many sights that normally would be missed. The whole experience took us around 4 hours (this included the built in stops at a pub and borough market) the actual experience took around 2:30 hours and is all on foot walking The clues and directions are fun as it makes you look around your surroundings and you get to see and read a lot more about the city. I would highly recommend secret city and we will be returning to do more.

Interactive Treasure Hunt London - City of London/Southwark: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Interactive Treasure Hunt London - City of London/Southwark cost?

    +

Prices start at $24 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Interactive Treasure Hunt London - City of London/Southwark take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Interactive Treasure Hunt London - City of London/Southwark worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Interactive Treasure Hunt London - City of London/Southwark?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Interactive Treasure Hunt London - City of London/Southwark suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Interactive Treasure Hunt London - City of London/Southwark?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Interactive Treasure Hunt London - City of London/Southwark start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
