Visit the Imperial Palace, see the empty tomb of Emperor Maximilian at the Hofkirche imperial church, or venture to Ambras Castle, nestled in the hills above the city. Sports lovers can visit Bergisel with its famous ski jump or the village of Igls, renowned for the winter bobsleigh events and downhill ski races. For a scenic experience, take the funicular from Old Town up the mountain to Hungerburg; from here, the panoramic gondola continues to Seegrube, where you'll be treated to tremendous views of the Central Inn Valley, the Stubai and Zillertal Alps, and across the Wipptal to the Italian border. It's a truly enchanting experience! On your 1.5-hour tour, wander through the Chambers of Wonder, created by famous artists and designers such as Alexander McQueen, Tord Boontje and Brian Eno. This fairytale winter landscape is made up of thousand of crystals, creating a real-life kaleidoscope. Stand in the interior of a giant crystal, watching light refracted in hundreds of mirrored surfaces, and marvel in child-like wonder at the imposing Crystal Dome, the showpiece of Swarovski Crystal Worlds. You'll then head back to Salzburg to conclude your tour.

Excellent private tour and fun experience!
We had a fantastic private tour with our guide Mitch to Swarovski Crystal World and Innsbruck. Mitch was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole day enjoyable and stress-free. Swarovski Crystal World was immersive and fun— it felt like stepping into a sparkling, artistic dreamscape. Afterward, we explored the charming city of Innsbruck, which was full of history and beauty. The highlight was the ride to the top of Innsbruck, where we saw breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. This was an excellent day trip that balanced art, culture, and natural beauty. Highly recommend this tour and Mitch in particular—his insights and easygoing nature made all the difference!

Bad tour
The private guide/driver told us he had not been to Innsbruck in over 4 years prior to our private tour. And we found that neither the tour company nor the tour guide had done research ahead of time. If they had, they would have known that the main item we were there to see (the ski jump and Olympic village) was not open on Mon or Tue. We were there on a Tuesday. If we had listen to the advice of the tour guide about having lunch at the restaurant at the top of the ski jump, we would have gone hungry. Luckily we had lunch at Swarovski with a lovely view of the mountains. As a travel advisor, I will not be recommending this tour company for anything and will let my fellow advisors know as well. We paid a LOT of money for this tour and didn't get our money's worth at all. Just paid for a driver to take us to Innsbruck for the day, we could have taken the train for that and gotten more.

We are sorry if there was a misunderstanding regarding lock-down and the situation the past 2 years. Please note, Austria was facing very strict covid rules and numerous lock downs implemented by the government due to high infections numbers. Nobody was allowed to travel even within Austria during that time – so our experts were not back in Innsbruck for 2 years – thus does not affect the knowledge about the running tour – especially by our certified licensed guides. Nevertheless, we agree the opening times of Bergisel ski-jump should have been pre-checked as only few attractions are back to pre-covid operation modus. We are sorry about this, yet our guide was happy to arrange alternatives which you seemed to have enjoyed. Regarding lunch stops and running of the tours. By long-term experiences we usually stop first at Swarovski in Wattens arranging lunch at Daniels, since we know this is an excellent place for a lunch break and do Innsbruck in the afternoons before returning back. Time in Innsbruck is always flexible according to the personal interests of our guests – including a walking tour & coffee break in the old town or visiting other near-by attractions. Again, we do regret that you were not happy with the running of the tour after all … especially since our guide had the feeling you enjoyed your day trip expecting a different review based on the good atmosphere on tour and also the generous tipping from your side. Christmas Markets
Many have advised us to visit the 5 Christmas markets in Innsbruck and I must say that it was worth it, very beautiful .. From the two squares then wind through the streets and alleys... From Christmas items to various types of eating... The houses made in style, really very nice and then especially because with whitewashed roofs from the snow fallen a few days before... It's worth going to see them

If you´re thing is crystal, than you will love to visit the Swarovski World, where you will find amazing pieces made by them and will be able to purchase almost anything you want at their shop. Close to Innsbruck.
