Time well spent - awesome experience

Awesome time with Ivan - he really takes care of everything and provides a seamless experience. Our camp was set up, very comfortable, super clean, and had everything we needed. Having clean bathrooms right next to the campground was a huge plus. Fun hike with a rewarding swim to end (definitely bring your bathing suit even if you’re not typically a water person - you’ll want to jump in). Incredible home cooked meals and market experience as well - def a highlight. Highly recommend

If you are looking for a unique experience, this is it

This was a fantastic experience. Ivan made it easy from the pickup to drop off. We had great dinner at a local place, tents were comfortable and the sunrise experience with no other people around was just special. The hike, the trip back and the stop at the Sunday market made the visit even more fun. All in all, if you want to try a small group experience with very few to no people around and are excited to catch a sunrise, highly recommend this trip with Ivan.

A new experience at Hierve el agua

I had gone to Hierve el agua before, but not like this! This was without a doubt a once in a lifetime experience! We got to do a night hike and swim, all by ourselves, in the natural pools (where the water was a very confortable temperature). The stars, the local dogs walking with us the whole way and the sound of nature all made it a wonderful night! However, the icing on the cake was definitely the sunrise! Again, the whole place to ourselves, and we got to see the sun giving its red and orange colors to the clear blue sky and reflecting them on the natural pools! Truly a unique experience, all thanks to our expert host Ivan! I would 100% recommend this tour!

Excellent Camping and Visit Boil the Water 10/10!!!

I consider this experience unique since it never I had the opportunity before to meet Boil the water and even more, camping on the site. The truth all came out amazing, from the start with instructions clear which inputs to carry, schedules of activities, etc. Yeah. during the beginning of the experience transport perfect, much communication and trust; Get to the place have a place to camp, you They lend the tent and the excellent sleeping bags and of good quality, it was not cold or discomfort. The 10/10 night walk, have somewhere to dine and breakfast, personal spaces and services of the place, see an amazing sunrise, a walk with great scenery, a time in the pools to enjoy swimming and taking pictures, and a I'm back without a hitch. Recommended for who would like to live a better experience in Boil the water, Oaxaca. Thank you since I I encourage more trips like this.

Amazing sunrise in a unique spot

I highly recommend this experience if you like nature! One of the most beautiful sunrises I have gotten! Also being in hierve el agua before the crowds arrive is a unique experience. Camping gear was great! Wasn't cold at all and Ivan made sure to take care of all the details.

Hierve El Agua Sunrise and Overnight Camping Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oaxaca City.

How much does Hierve El Agua Sunrise and Overnight Camping Experience cost?

    +

Prices start at $2600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oaxaca City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hierve El Agua Sunrise and Overnight Camping Experience take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oaxaca City is not rushed.

Is Hierve El Agua Sunrise and Overnight Camping Experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Oaxaca City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hierve El Agua Sunrise and Overnight Camping Experience?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Hierve El Agua Sunrise and Overnight Camping Experience suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hierve El Agua Sunrise and Overnight Camping Experience?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oaxaca City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oaxaca City and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hierve El Agua Sunrise and Overnight Camping Experience start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oaxaca City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oaxaca City?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oaxaca City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include AUTHENTIC OAXACA CULTURAL FOOD TOUR, eat like a local., Hierve el Agua 2.5 hours, Mitla, Tule, Rugs and Mezcal for a Day, Traditional Oaxaqueña Cooking with Grandma's Recipes. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oaxaca City?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oaxaca City?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
