What you'll see and do

  1. Westminster Abbey

See the Ministry of Magic where in the movie The Order of the Phoenix, Harry and Mr Weasley attend a hearing because Harry has used magic outside school hours. How did they get in? A London red telephone box of course! Then later in the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Harry, Ron and Hermione have to find a way to get into the Ministry of Magic to retrieve a Horcrux from Delores Umbridge's neck

15 minutes here · Admission not included

  2. King's Cross Station

See where Warner Bros have set up a Platform 9 3/4 experience where, if time permits, you can line up to have your photo taken pushing a railway trolly through a wall. There may also be time to visit the souvenir store. But your Wizard driver/guide knows exactly where the sequence was filmed, and might be able to take you right onto the station platform to see where it really happened!

    20 minutes here

  3. The Islington

Not far from Kings Cross Station in the London suburb of Islington, is a quiet residential street. Unbeknown to its muggle residents, there is is a secret house here. This is 12 Grimmauld Place, the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix. Can you spot which house it is?

    10 minutes here

  4. We visit the most famous outdoor food market in London crammed with food stalls displaying mouthwatering produce. Nestling unseen amongst its numerous street café’s is a secret doorway to the Leaky Cauldron, the Wizards Pub, and gateway to Diagon Alley. This is where the Knight Bus screeches to a halt outside to let Harry out in the movie Prisoner of Azkaban.

    15 minutes here

  5. Leadenhall Market

This architecture at this elegant Victorian market is a feast for the eyes. Its also home to the secret doorway of the Leaky Cauldron pub, gateway to Diagon Alley in the first movie, where Hagrid takes Harry to buy his wizarding supplies for his first day at Hogwarts.

    15 minutes here

  6. Millennium Bridge

We take a stop to see London’s stylish Millennium bridge, the bridge that the Death Eaters destroy in the dramatic opening sequence of the movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince!

    5 minutes here

  7. Lambeth Bridge

We drive over Lambeth Bridge, the bridge the Knight Bus had to squeeze through two double-decker red busses on the way to the Leaky Cauldron in the movie The Prisoner of Azkaban.

    Pass by without stopping

  8. Cecil Court

If time, we take you to Cecil Court, a quirky pedestrianized street full of odd little independent shops, whcih provided the inspiration for Diagon Alley (which was a film set). Apparently, JK Rowling when writing the first book wandered through here and thought ‘yes, this is the perfect place.’ Take a short stroll down Cecil Court and you’ll probably get what she meant!

    5 minutes here

  9. St. Pancras International Station

See the stunning back drop of St Pancras Station where Harry and Ron fly off in the Weasley's flying blue car to Hogwarts, in the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Magical Royal London

We had a fantastic day with Michael for the Royal London tour . We started our day by Michael meeting us at our hotel . Next we started walking to see the Changing of The Guard at Friary Corvt then we followed the band down the mall towards Buckingham Palace. Michael pointed out various statues along the way. Next we did a 4 hour Harry Potter tour. Michael had movie clips to view on his IPAD before each spot. Some of our favorites were Platform at 9 & 3/4 , the Leaky Cauldron. Gringotts Bank inside The Australia House and the expanding Ministry of Magic Entrance.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the lovely review of your taxi tour with Michael. We’re so glad you enjoyed it!

Best Tour. Don’t Miss It!

This was the highlight of our trip to London for our Harry Potter fan. Michael took us to all the spots we wanted to see and even showed us film clips before we saw each one. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Being in a black cab made it even made it more authentic. Michael took us everywhere Harry Potter, but in reality, he really took us everywhere London. Book this.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the great review of your Harry Potter London taxi tour with Michael. We’re so glad you enjoyed it!

Harry Potter Black Taxi Private Tour of London with Hotel Pickup: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Harry Potter Black Taxi Private Tour of London with Hotel Pickup cost?

+

Prices start at $348 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Harry Potter Black Taxi Private Tour of London with Hotel Pickup take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Harry Potter Black Taxi Private Tour of London with Hotel Pickup worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 299 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Harry Potter Black Taxi Private Tour of London with Hotel Pickup?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Harry Potter Black Taxi Private Tour of London with Hotel Pickup suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Harry Potter Black Taxi Private Tour of London with Hotel Pickup?

+

Around 105 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Harry Potter Black Taxi Private Tour of London with Hotel Pickup start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

+

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

+

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
