    Bad bad bad

All of my other bookings have been fantastic. This was terrible. We booked a tour of London. In advance we explained we had been to the major sites. He said great we can do a wonderful tour of the secondary sites. All sorted. The day before he suggested Hampton court palace. We said fine thinking it was in London. We didn’t know it was an hour out. When we got there he didn’t even guide us. He left us for 2 hours. When driving to and back we had to ask what things were. No guide service only driving service. Terrible waste of money.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. Everything is good from your side. We only gave you suggestion, since you had been to London and you have visited every famous land marks. We gave you two suggestions, one to visit some places in London or go and visit one of the most famously Palace in England. You opted to visit the palace, we gave you a brief explanation of what it was all about before you gave us your decision. The tour description clearly said that there was no professional guides on this tour, so how can you expect someone to accompany you inside the palace to guide you. Also your idea was to visit the palace and see other parts of London within 4 hours which was impossible as your driver explained to you that you can visit other places but you would have to extend your time by at least one hour. You declined that offer and decided to finish your tour within 4 hours. We still gave you 30 minutes extra. in terms of driver, this driver is a very experienced tour driver, he has been doing tour for the last 17 years. Your driver gave you all the historical information during your journey and explained to you that your ticket includes Multi media audio guides to help you inside the palace. so what else where you expecting from us?

    Worked Well for Us!

I decided to book a private half day tour because my knee arthritis was flaring up. I did not want this to impede my wife and I to sightsee London. This vendor communicated well with me before and during the tour. The driver came on time. Keep in mind this is not a tour per se. This is simply a driver taking you to the places you want to go. Hence, be prepared to lead your driver. This worked well for us. I would recommend this type of "tour" if you know where you want to go and for whatever reason you are unable to get there via walking.

    Great!

Great tour a small microphone would have been nice as it was hard to hear. The company was very accommodating in moving the time as our flight was delayed and we appreciated that.

you showed a tour with the little black cars, that's not what was sent. It was a black van. VERY DISSATISFACTION.

Advertisement showed the little black cars. Thats not what came, we were sent vans. That's not what we wanted or were expecting. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Driver was very nice. Tour was suppose To be 4 hours it was only 3. Your very wrong for leading us to belive it was in the black cars, we wouldn't have booked a van. Not happy at all. Timothy Jacob

Response from the operator: This was not a van, we sent. This was a lates model Mercedes V Class an top of the range mercedes executive vehicle. customers pay extra to have these luxury vehciles.

Half-day Private Tour in London: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Half-day Private Tour in London cost?

    +

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Half-day Private Tour in London take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Half-day Private Tour in London worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Half-day Private Tour in London?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Half-day Private Tour in London suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Half-day Private Tour in London?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half-day Private Tour in London start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
