Amalia is awesome, fantastic trip!!!

We did a tour to the Tulum ruins & swimming in cenotes we decided to skip the caves as a family. It was awesome! Our tour guide Amalia was absolutely amazing! Her knowledge, friendliness & professionalism was outstanding. Our driver was very friendly & easy going & Ivan took photos at the Cenote for us. Everyone was amazing. The guide was very knowledgeable on the Mayan culture and provided fantastic information. We had lunch at the cenote which everyone enjoyed (which isnt that easy catering for 17) The chicken tacos where fresh & delicious. Absolutely highly recommend & we wouldn't hesitate to use them again & we would ask for Amalia back as everyone loved her!! Massive thank you to everyone involved 🙏

Perfectly Organized and Worth Every Minute

We had an amazing experience on the Tulum, cenote, and turtle snorkeling tour! It was the perfect combination of adventure, history, and relaxation. Our guide, Enrique, spent the entire day with us and made the experience truly unforgettable. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the places we visited. We learned so much while having a great time. The organization of the tour was excellent. Everything was planned perfectly, so we didn't have to worry about anything. The schedule was well thought out, with enough time to explore, buy souvenirs, and enjoy a delicious meal without ever feeling rushed. We also had a videographer with us throughout the day who captured both photos and videos of our experience. The quality was fantastic, and now we in have so many beautiful memories to look back on. If you're visiting the area, don't hesitate to book a tour with this team. They are professional, well organized, and genuinely care about making your day special. We highly recommend them and would absolutely book with them again!

Coolest adventure ever

Enrique was our guide. He provided a fun day packed with information. The ruins are impressive. The hike through a dark cave/cenote on a boardwalk, followed by swimming through the cenote surrounded by low-hanging stalactites was indescribably cool and unique.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! We're so glad you enjoyed the tour and that Enrique made it both fun and informative. The cenote experience is truly one of a kind, and we're happy it was such a memorable part of your day. We hope to welcome you back soon! Ruta Maya Ecotours Team

Tulum, Cenote & Turtles amazing experience!

An excellent and complete tour! Eduardo, Jorge and Jorge were excellent guides/photographer and delivered such a punch of fun that we'll not forget soon. An excellent price for all the activities included (even transportation to our hotel far away) and the overall experience. One additional but very important thing was that everything was handled with care and respect for nature. The photos were amazing!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you had such an amazing experience with Eduardo, Jorge, and Jorge. We'll be sure to share your kind words with them, they'll be delighted! Thank you for recognizing our commitment to protecting nature and for choosing to explore with us. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon! Ruta Maya Ecotours Team

Amazing

What a fantastic day. Our guide was Amalia, who was fantastic - knowledgeable and with a great sense of humour. She was supported by a driver and photographer (Kiki?). We started the day at Tulum which was amazing, but very hot. We moved onto the Cenote, absolutely incredible followed by great food which came as part of the package and then went on a short hike visiting a old cenote cave before finishing off the day snorkelling with the turtles. Only disappointment of the day was that the water was murky due to the sargassum but we were still able to have incredible views of the turtles. We have travelled all over the world and this was by far one of the best excursions we’ve ever had. Highly recommend Ruta Maya ecotours.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We’re really happy to hear you enjoyed the day with Amalia and the team — we’ll make sure to share your kind words with them. Sounds like you got to experience a little bit of everything Riviera Maya has to offer in one day! We know the sargassum can sometimes affect visibility, so we truly appreciate your understanding and are very glad you were still able to enjoy the turtles Reading that this was one of the best excursions of your travels honestly means a lot to us. Thank you again for recommending Ruta Maya Ecotours, and we hope to see you back in Mexico soon! Ruta Maya Ecotours Team

Guerrero Maya (Tulum-Cenote-Caverna): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Guerrero Maya (Tulum-Cenote-Caverna) cost?

+

Prices start at $108 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Guerrero Maya (Tulum-Cenote-Caverna) take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Guerrero Maya (Tulum-Cenote-Caverna) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Guerrero Maya (Tulum-Cenote-Caverna)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Guerrero Maya (Tulum-Cenote-Caverna) suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Guerrero Maya (Tulum-Cenote-Caverna)?

+

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Guerrero Maya (Tulum-Cenote-Caverna) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
