Take Spanish Classes with ISE! They are wonderful.
Instituto Superior de Español is a fantastic place to study Spanish! My partner and I were initially planning to spend two weeks at their Otavalo school but had to change plans and did one week in Quito with them instead. I wish we could have studied with them for longer! The school was extremely accommodating with our changing plans. After my first day of class, they also organized a new class for me that was more appropriate for my level. Their method of teaching was very clear and systematic. Janeth provided a deeper understanding of grammar rules and relationships that I had not received at previous Spanish schools. Prior to our arrival in Quito, I took some online classes with Paula which were equally as helpful and clear. Everyone at the school is very helpful and genuinely look out for their students. There are after-class activities and a coffee/snack break each morning that provide an opportunity to meet students from other classes. I gained so much from just a week at ISE and cannot recommend it enough for anyone looking to improve their Spanish while in Ecuador. It was one of the best things during our time in Quito.
Response from the operator: Dear 5xAbe, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for recommending our programs to learn Spanish! We are thrilled to hear that you and your partner had such a positive experience with us in Quito. It was our pleasure to accommodate your changing plans and ensure you were placed in a class that matched your level. We are glad to hear that Janeth’s teaching provided you with a deeper understanding of Spanish grammar, that your online sessions with Paola were helpful prior to your arrival and that you found our overall methodology very unique. Our team takes great care in supporting our students, and we are happy you enjoyed the morning breaks and after-class activities. Knowing that your time at ISE was a highlight of your trip to Ecuador means a lot to all of us. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are so glad that studying at ISE has been a great experience in your trip. Thank you again for your kind words and for recommending us to others. We hope to see you again in the future! Best regards, The Instituto Superior de Español Team

Great learning and travel experience
I cannot recommend Insituto Superior de Espanol highly enough! My six weeks with the school and my host family were the best I've had in eight months of travelling. While learning Spanish, the teachers and the curriculum made sure that we were learning in context: learn the word "beber" and you also learn about traditional Ecuadorian drinks and the holidays that they're associated with. Outside of the language classes themeselves, the school also offers cultural immersion activities which are well chosen and priced incredibly affordably, ensuring that you experience the best that Quito has to offer. Beyond these set offerings, the school is also very welcoming and equipped with any and all information that you might need to live/travel in Ecuador such assistance finding medical attention, where to buy cheap and good quality clothes, and how to navigate the bus system. With the support of both the school and my host family, I was able to settle in and experience Ecuador deeply. Ecuador has not been portrayed well in the news lately, but I felt safe during my time in Quito. The airport pick-up was a blessing - I had a safe ride who could give me immediate tips on Quito right away. The safety tips are mostly common sense: don't go out walking at night (but you can take an Uber), only drink filtered/boiled water, don't carry too much money on your person or walk around fully immersed in your phone. Because I am rather cautious, I did make sure to tell the school and my host family about my plans for the day so that they could give me advice (both safety and practical) on my plans. Another important thing to note is that electricity and water outages are common in Ecuador right now due to the drought. Bringing a power bank and adjusting your hours to match the sun are essential for time there.

Professional Spanish Classes in friendly environment in the heart of Quito
The school and its wonderful staff members made mi feel at home and I felt I was part of the family right from the first moment. Highly professional tutors that care for students individual needs as well as , assistance with organising trips to the surrounding tourist attractions of Quito. I would highly recommend this school for any future Spanish student.

Super school!
What a great school! It really felt like a big family and everyone was welcome! When I came here I couldn't speak a word of Spanish. After two weeks I can dream the grammar and I can speak a little bit. Now a lot of practice, so I can also memorize some more words and speak more fluently. I want to thank the school super much for everything! I also recommend the Wednesday excursion to the Amazon and hot springs for sure!!
Response from the operator: Hola Noor, Many thanks for your words and sharing more about your experience! It is great to read what a successful outcome you got of your classes and that you are now able to communicate in Spanish. Yes please, remember to keep practicing and using what you learned. We thank you too for your great attitude and supporting our work, we very much appreciate that you recommend us. We hopen je snel weer te zien bij een van onze locaties. Vriendelijke groeten uit Ecuador, Het Team van Instituto Superior de Español

Amazing experience!
I was doing a round trip of south america, and started with a month of Spanish at ISE. I was a complete beginner at the start, and after 4 weeks (80 hours of spanish) I was able to have a polite conversation with taxidrivers. It made the rest of my trip in south america alot easier than i would have been without the classes! Very competent teachers! The school even helped plan weekend trips to Cotopaxi, Quilotoa, Mindo and Otovalo among others. It was easy planing, and always some student from school to go with.
Response from the operator: Dear Anders, Many thanks for your review and for sharing how much you appreciated your program. We are glad to know about the great benefits that it has brought to learn Spanish here to start your trip in South America, furthermore we are so happy to know that you will be applying what you have learned and that you will keep practicing more and more. We've had a great experience getting to know you too and we are happy to have been of support during your trip. We all send you very best wishes for your trip and hope to see you here again in the near future. The Instituto Superior de Español Team

+

That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quito, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Quito?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Quito?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
