What you'll see and do
Guayaquil
Our first stop will be Seminario Park, to admire its beautiful gardens and its lagoon. With the Cathedral of Guayaquil as a backdrop, we will also discover why this park is known as “Iguanas Park”, seeing up close the exotic iguanas of Guayaquil, which are longer than a meter long. Then, we cross the popular Malecon 2000 along the Guayas River, where we will see a variety of museums, gardens, docks and viewpoints. Our next stop will be la Rotonda, to see the monument of the liberators of South America, and hear about the famous “Interview of Guayaquil” between the Venezuelan Simón Bolívar and the Argentine José de San Martín. After, we will go to the oldest part of the city to explore the colonial neighborhood of Las Peñas. Their colorful houses built in wood represent true works of art. Finally, we will ascend to the viewpoint of Las Peñas (which was the original City of Guayaquil in 16th Century), and appreciate a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and the famous Guayas River.

Wonderful tour of Guayaquil!
We had a wonderful tour with Tony. He did an excellent job personalizing the day for us around things we had already seen and what we were interested in. He was very knowledgeable about the city, and its history. Knew local places to take us to to get the best pictures. Our tour was completely private - just our family. Highly recommend hanging out with him for a day!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We're delighted to hear you and your family enjoyed your private tour with Tony. We're glad he could personalize the experience and share the best of Guayaquil with you. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Latinamerica again soon! 😊

Great intro to Guayaquil
We wanted to learn about Guayaquil and do some sightseeing before our trip to the Galapagos and did the city tour. It was informative, well-paced, and brought a good balance of history, culture, food, and sights. Allison was a great guide. Even two teen boys enjoyed it.

Great Guayaquil Day Tour
We did the day tour of Guayaquil in order to get to know the city before we took off to the Galapagos the next day. There were four of us… My wife and I and two teenage boys. The tour was about 3 1/2 hours long and it included history, culture, a little sightseeing, and some food tasting. Allison was an excellent tour guide as a city native. Knowledgeable, eligible, great communicator before, and during the tour, and showed us a lot of the city. I recommend this tour highly.
Response from the operator: Hello Thomas, thank you very much for visiting Guayaquil with us! It is great to hear you had a wonderful time in Ecuador. we apreciate all your words and effort to share it. We look forward to see you back on the road shortly. Regards Guidecuador Team.

Excellent tour and wonderful Guide
Today was a wonderful leisurely, walk around Guayaquil. Our tour guide Antonio was extremely knowledgeable about his country and was sure to provide us with the most in-depth explanation of the culture and answered all of our questions. We walked 440 steps in the old city and enjoyed the most beautiful sunset atop the lighthouse where we got a chance to cool off with a wonderful breeze. It was a wonderful adventure for couples with a beautiful and romantic sunset at the end.
Response from the operator: Hello Anthony, Thank you for all your words and your time to share all your impressions with us! Thank you again and safe travels

Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quito.
How much does Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $145 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quito usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quito is not rushed.
Is Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quito, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quito can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quito and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quito within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Quito?
+
On Outty we rank every Quito experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cotopaxi Volcano full day tour with all the entrances, every day, Cotopaxi tour from Quito -horseback ride and hike-NO TOURISTY way, Baños Full Day Tour from Quito Including Entrances and Activities. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Quito?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Quito?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour?
+
Included: Bottled water; English Speaking Guide; Viewpoint visit; In-vehicle air conditioning; and All sightseeing mentioned in program. Not included: Gratuities; Lunch; and any acitvity not specified in program. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Guayaquil City Tour - 1 Day Tour include hotel pickup?
+

+
