Isla Mujeres + Isla Contoy with "karaoke atmosphere"
The visit to Contoy is really limited in number, the management of the groups is rather satisfactory and we had the feeling of being around fifty on the island. But for the rest it's really an excursion of the mass tourism industry from the moment you arrive at the port and on the boat (about 5 hours in total): animation at the microphone, Latina music, unlimited drinks including alcoholic drinks, so in the end very festive atmosphere ... not unpleasant, but not very chill towards a protected natural area ! It's long for an hour on Contoy, Mujeres is not really of interest and unfortunately the weather did not allow us to get in the water for snorkelling. Funny anecdote, on the way back, non-locals were generally on the upper deck... to enjoy the sun or a bit of calm ?
Response from the operator: We are glad that you liked the Island, Contoy is indeed a protected area and only allows a certein number of persons There are drinks on the way back from Contor for that reason, the drinks are only served at the end of the tour after leaving the protected area. The atmosphere is set by the travelers, most people like to have fun when they are in their vacations Some travelers go to the upper deck for the extended views of the sea, to relax, do some sunbathe or just to have some space while enjoying the drinks We will take notes on your opinion to open another tour without music or noise for the travelers that like to be completely calm We hope to see you again to take you into a relaxing and calm adventure surrounded by nature
