Immerse yourself in a diverse culture with extraordinary hospitality
For many years, visiting Mongolia had been on my wish list. I wanted to get to know this country, surrounded by two huge neighbours and yet 40 times the size of Switzerland. On the one hand out of curiosity, but also because we have been welcoming exchange students from Mongolia for 18 years now. So it was a great pleasure to have one of these former students, Ulmaa, as our tour guide. In addition, her husband Boldoo was our driver and cook, and the family's young daughter accompanied us on the trip – the perfect combination. After a few days in the vibrant capital and cosmopolitan city of Ulaan Baatar, we set off for the countryside. The rich history of this country and its scenic beauty are an incredible treasure that I was able to discover with Ulmaa, Boldoo and Urahas. I have particularly fond memories of visiting nomads, hiking on volcanic craters, attending a shamanic ceremony as an observer, bathing in the thermal springs of Tsenkher and visiting the Naadam national festival in a smaller town, where we were close to the action. And the fact that there are sand dunes in Mongolia where you can even go tobogganing was an added surprise. I wholeheartedly recommend Buman Tours because I felt safe and well looked after at all times. Buman Tours works with local businesses, thereby promoting sustainable tourism. The price-performance ratio is impressive and the memories are countless and lasting. Long live Buman Tours and Mongolia!

Traditionel Songs
When I arrived at the airport in Ulanbataar and was greeted by Ulmaa and Boldoo, I immediately felt welcome and at home. They both looked after me well until I joined the rest of the group. It was an unforgettable holiday with visits to important well-known places, horse riding along Lake Kovskol, camping, campfires and the highlight: the companions sang me traditional songs for my birthday - I wasn't the only one in tears. Thank you so much! Angelica
Response from the operator: Thank you for reviewing us. We're so excited to read your heartwarming words. Hope to see you again soon.
