Unforgettable trip to steppe
I had an incredible journey with our guide Anar through the Mongolian Gobi Desert and the vast Mongolian steppe. It was truly an unforgettable experience. We saw wild mountain goats in their natural habitat and explored breathtaking sand dunes that seemed endless. Everything about the trip was exciting and full of adventure. Anar was an amazing guide — very friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English, which made communication easy and enjoyable. I felt safe, inspired, and deeply impressed by the beauty of Mongolia. This trip exceeded all my expectations. Highly recommended!

Unforgettable Gobi Desert Adventure with Outstanding Guide Anar!
We had an amazing private tour in the Mongolian Gobi with Brave New Mongolia Tours and we couldn’t be happier. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised, safe, and incredibly memorable. Our guide Anar was the absolute highlight of the trip. He is knowledgeable, patient, funny, and genuinely passionate about his country. Anar made the whole experience special — he shared fascinating insights about nomadic life, local history, and the unique ecosystem of the Gobi, while also being very flexible and attentive to our needs. Whether we were spotting wildlife, exploring dramatic sand dunes, visiting nomadic families, or enjoying stunning sunsets, Anar ensured we felt safe and fully immersed in the beauty of Mongolia. All logistics were excellent — comfortable transport, good camping/ger arrangements, and delicious meals. The Gobi itself exceeded our expectations with its vast landscapes, incredible silence, and raw natural beauty. We highly recommend Brave New Mongolia Tours, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Anar as your guide. This was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you, team — we’ll definitely be back for more of Mongolia!

+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ulaanbaatar?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ulaanbaatar?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
