Our driver will pick you up early in the morning from your accommodation in UB. The first stop is the impressive Ghinggis Khan Equestrian Statue at the Tsonjin Boldog Complex. Standing at a towering height of 40 meters, this monument is the world's largest equestrian statue. The statue is dedicated to Chinggis Khaan and located in Tsonjin Boldog, where Chinggis Khaan found a golden whip before his conquests era.

Gorkhi-Terelj National Park
After visiting the equestrian statue, your journey continues to the enchanting Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. In Terelj, you will enjoy hiking to the Ariyapala Meditation temple and Turtle rock. I had agreed with the...
I had agreed with the tour operator in advance that the private tour would be adjusted slightly (no sightseeing, just hiking in the national park). Unfortunately, this had apparently not been communicated to the driver, who didn't speak any English and still took me to the usual sightseeing spots, which I didn't want to visit. Hiking in the national park wasn't possible. Too bad.
Response from the operator: Dear Judith, We're sorry for any inconvenience or misunderstanding you may have experienced with the driver during your tour. As this was a private and solo tour, the itinerary was absolutely customizable, and you were welcome to communicate your preferences and adjust the activities according to your interests. Many of our travelers communicate with their driver using Google Translate, especially when there is a language barrier, and are able to visit the places they prefer within the National Park. If hiking was your priority, we would have been very happy to arrange this for you. However, we did not receive any message from you or any indication in your previous emails mentioning that hiking was your main priority. If you had informed us, we could have communicated this clearly to the driver and made the necessary arrangements. Regarding your postponement request, once you asked to postpone the tour, we immediately worked to find another available driver for your new date and updated you after we had confirmed one. We could alternatively have cancelled the tour and provided a refund, or, if you had kept the original date, we could have sent the originally scheduled driver. We always try our best to accommodate our guests’ preferences, especially with private tours, and we sincerely regret that there was a misunderstanding during your experience. Amazing Tour
We had such a fantastic tour guided by our lovely tour guide Basaa! We were only in Mongolia for one day and we could have chosen a better tour. We got to see so many amazing sights and Basaa was the best companion and driver and even offered to take lots of photos of us everywhere we went! He also took us to an unbelievably good restaurant for lunch and we had an amazing meal with such spectacular mountain views. We hope to be able to come back to Mongolia again and experience another tour with them! And we definitely hope we get to have Bassa as our driver again!

Day tip to Chinggiskhan monument and Terelj
Truly exciting and positive impressions of a day trip outside Ulaanbaatar. The driver was fluent in English, very friendly and caring. He gave useful hints in advance about how to move at each of the sightseeing main points (Chinggis Khan monument, Turtle Rock and Aryapala temple). Everything was on time and the car was good. A lot of friendly chatting during the trip helped to get a better feeling of Mongolia and it's people.

Very friendly and high effort
We were initially told our tour won't happen since we booked very late and they unfortunately didn't have drivers for the next day. Nevertheless, in the morning, they messaged us asking whether we would still like to do the tour around 10 am-ish. It was nice of Meet Mongolia to show this effort to make the tour happen for us! Our driver was friendly and very flexible, telling us to "take our time, no rush" at all the stop locations. He was even kind to later drop us at the Zaisan Hill. 🙂 Overall, the tour took us some 7 hours. I recommend Meet Mongolia for their friendly and high-effort approach!
