About this experience
This full-day journey combines one of Switzerland’s most scenic train routes with a high-mountain experience in the Graubünden Alps. The tour begins with travel to Brig, where the Glacier Express continues through the heart of the Alps toward Chur. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of the Rhône Valley, the high landscapes of the Oberalp Pass, and the dramatic Rhine Gorge, often called the “Swiss Grand Canyon.” After arriving in Chur, the journey continues by bus to the LAAX mountain region. Modern cable cars provide easy access to high-altitude viewpoints such as Crap Sogn Gion, offering wide panoramas of surrounding peaks and valleys. With time to enjoy the mountain atmosphere before returning to Chur and onward to Zurich, this tour combines iconic rail scenery with a memorable Alpine summit experience.

Trip I want to forget !!
worst experience ever.. driver assigned to us has not been trained. he told us he just started. He was taking us to the wrong train station untill I noticed that we've gone too far. he turned around but we missed our original train. The pwner/manager of this tour company ignored our HELP call. We phoned Viator and was told that there are no other trains and will be difficult to get a refund. I asked the driver to take us back to our hotel, its only then the owner called and said that there is another train and that viator just want to resell our tour. We got on the train and our lunch was served at 3:30 and not at 12:30, The trip was to include some sight seeing with opportunities for great photos and tour of Lucerne. We did not get that because our driver wanted to get home to his family because its very late and the reason he took this job was to spend more time with the family. We agreed to take us back to our hotel since this whole trip was a trip from hxll and paid nearly $4000 not any apologies from Viator or the tour operator and of course no refund at all. Please beware of these expensive private tours.. I cried on this entire tour. Nightmare !

Excellent private tour – highly recommend!
Antonio was a great driver and was very kind and helpful with my disabled husband. He was punctual to pick us up and punctual at the train and also the pick up when we were done on the train. He answered our questions as best he could, and he was very professional, pleasant, and friendly the entire day. He was a very caring man, and we enjoyed our entire day with him! We highly recommend Antonio for a driver . Ana was our guide in Lucerne and was also excellent! She gave us so much information and made sure that we were able to see so very much even though my husband is disabled. She was very informative about Lucerne, Old Town, the lion statue, and the church that we saw in Lucerne. You can tell she loves her city! She was very upbeat, professional, and caring continually about my husband's needs and making sure that we were seeing so much in the beautiful city of Lucerne. She is a happy person and her smile is contagious. If you need a guide in Lucerne, Ana is the very best! As for the tour itself, the Glacier Express train ride was fabulous. The Alps are magnificent and the Alpine villages that we viewed along the way were beautiful. The drives through the mountains to the train and then to Lucerne were also so very beautiful. This is a fabulous tour and we highly recommend it! (Jonas was also excellent to work with in planning the tour – thank you Jonas!)

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
