Don't underestimate this trek! Lots of steps and altitude to conquer.

Had an awesome experience trekking to Ghorepani and Poonhill. Special thanks to my excellent guide Raman who was a super knowledgable source about many treks in Nepal and Tibet. He also helped me keep the morale. The monsoon brought lots of rain and cloudy skies. One tip for future travelers: Don't underestimate this trek. Especially the 5th and last day down from Ghandruk to the end point is pretty exhausting. I also booked another short trek with Adventure Board - ocerall super reliable service! Would use it again.

Response from the operator: Dear Pascal, Namaste and thank you for your kind review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek and that Raman took great care of you throughout the journey. Your feedback about the trail difficulty is very helpful for future trekkers. We truly appreciate you choosing us again for another trek and are glad you found our service reliable. We hope to welcome you back to Nepal for more adventures soon! Warm regards, Adventure Bound Nepal

    The best 4 days

Raman was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. He carried lots of fruit up the 'small hill' for us which was delicious, and played cards with us too - Resham!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re happy to hear you had such a great time on the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. Raman’s knowledge, friendliness, and small thoughtful touches — from carrying fruit to sharing a game of cards — are exactly what make these short treks special. Thank you for trekking with Adventure Bound.

    Adventure of a lifetime!

We did the Ghorepani-Poonhill circuit with Raman and had the time of our lives. The scenery was incredible: going between waterfalls, forests, hills and mountains sprinkled with villages and animals. And the sunrise from Poon Hill was other-worldly. Raman was a knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour and knew some brilliant card games! We will remember this trip for the rest of our lives and hope to come back to Nepal to hike with Raman again in the future.

Response from the operator: "Thank you so much for your beautiful review! We’re thrilled to hear that your Ghorepani-Poonhill trek was the adventure of a lifetime. The scenery really is breathtaking, and we’re glad you were able to experience the magical sunrise from Poon Hill. Raman’s knowledge, humor, and card games truly make the journey special, and we’re so happy to hear he added to your unforgettable experience. We would love to welcome you back to Nepal for more adventures with Raman in the future!"

    Poon hill trek

Excellent trip, would 100% recommend! Despite booking 36 hours before on arrival in Kathmandu everything was seamless. Our guide Raman was lovely and waited on us hand and foot, could not have asked for anything more! He gave accurate descriptions and timings of the trek and was encouraging throughout. The accommodation, food and views were beyond my expectations. Will definitely be booking through them again.

Response from the operator: "Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re thrilled to hear that your Poon Hill trek exceeded your expectations. It’s wonderful to know that Raman made your experience even better with his attentive care, encouragement, and thorough guidance. We’re so glad the accommodations, food, and views were all fantastic! We can’t wait to welcome you back for another amazing adventure in the future. Thank you again for recommending us!"

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pokhara.

How much does Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking cost?

    +

Prices start at $600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pokhara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking take?

    +

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pokhara is not rushed.

Is Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Pokhara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pokhara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pokhara and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pokhara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Pokhara?

    +

On Outty we rank every Pokhara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek 3N-4D, Annapurna Base Camp Trek -8 days, Annapurna Base Camp Treks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Pokhara?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Pokhara?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
