    Poon Hill trek

This was our first visit to Nepal and our first trek. It was amazing! Physically relatively easy despite our initial reservations. We were lucky with v good weather. The views of the omnipresent mountains were superb. Our guide Santabir was extremely attentive and took very good care of us. The only problem was that he beat us at cards 3 nights in a row! The hotel stays in Katmandu and Pokhara as part of the package were of a very good standard. However, I would opt for flights despite an additional cost between Katmandu and Pokhara as the bus journey was 8-10hrs and very bumpy.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so happy to hear that your first trek in Nepal was amazing and that you enjoyed the stunning views. We appreciate your feedback on the hotels and understand your preference for flying between Kathmandu and Pokhara. We hope to welcome you back for more unforgettable adventures in the future! Safe travels!

Unforgettable trek through the Annapurna Conservation Area

My partner and I had an amazing trek with the brilliant Sandip Aryal (guide) and Prabit Gurung (porter) from Nepal Social Treks. The Poon Hill trek was perfect for us, well balanced days in a mix of high forest (with wild monkeys), mountain valleys and stunning rural villages. It was just magic to see the Annapurna range of the Himalayan mountains capped in white. Sandip and Prabit were endlessly kind, friendly, supportive and professional. Whatever we needed they facilitated including adjusting our itinerary. We stayed in wonderful mountain tea houses, which were cosy and provided delicious local and western meals to power us. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your amazing feedback! We're so glad you enjoyed your trek. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are happy to have been part of your journey!

The trek was amazing, I had a really fun time. I am really thankful that we had a guide because me and my friend had a little trouble on the way and wanted to finish the hike on are own. The guides did everything they could to help. I would go again if i could.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad our guides could support you, and we’d love to have you back for another adventure!

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek 5 Days from Pokhara: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pokhara.

How much does Ghorepani Poonhill Trek 5 Days from Pokhara cost?

    +

Prices start at $450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pokhara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ghorepani Poonhill Trek 5 Days from Pokhara take?

    +

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pokhara is not rushed.

Is Ghorepani Poonhill Trek 5 Days from Pokhara worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pokhara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ghorepani Poonhill Trek 5 Days from Pokhara?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ghorepani Poonhill Trek 5 Days from Pokhara suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ghorepani Poonhill Trek 5 Days from Pokhara?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pokhara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pokhara and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ghorepani Poonhill Trek 5 Days from Pokhara start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pokhara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Pokhara?

    +

On Outty we rank every Pokhara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek 3N-4D, Annapurna Base Camp Trek -8 days, Annapurna Base Camp Treks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Pokhara?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Pokhara?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
