Jungle Beach
The Jungle beach is located between Galle and Unawatuna. This place is less known to tourists and is thus less crowded which makes it appealing for the people visiting this place. This beach is basically special for its location since it lies close to the jungle. The clean and sandy beach provides a panoramic view of the city of Galle and a perfect place to watch the sunsets. You can also go to this place on foot which is a through a very beautiful trail which is clearly marked. The place is also accessible through boats and is a different experience altogether. The beach has several beds and places to lie down and relax. The place also has decent restaurants which serve excellent food. The jungle beach is the perfect place for snorkeling where you can see some colorful fishes. The equipment and gear required for snorkeling is available on rent and can be obtained easily. The jungle beach is a peaceful and quite little beach, which is great for swimming!

stilt fishermen Sri Lanka
Stilt Fishing is one of the most interesting traditional fishing methods of Sri Lanka. Records indicate that it came into being just after World War II. This mode of fishing was more widely used all along the coast until the tsunami in 2004 which caused such activities to cease temporarily until recent years. The beautiful sight of fishermen perched branched poles as they fish skillfully during dawn, noon and dusk; can now be commonly along the southern coast in towns such as Koggala, Kaththaluwa and Ahangama. Occasional stilt fishermen can also be seen amongst the waters of Madu River, etc.

Epic Galle Day Tour with Family
We had such a fun Galle day tour with our family honestly, one of the coolest days of our trip! The whole ride was super chill and comfy, and our driver was really friendly and easygoing, which made everything even better. We started with a visit to a turtle farm, which was actually so cute and interesting, especially seeing the baby turtles. Then we stopped at a spicy garden where we learned about Sri Lankan spices — it smelled amazing and was pretty cool to see how everything grows. One of the best parts was the boat ride on Madu Ganga cruising through the mangroves felt so peaceful and different. After that, we explored Galle Fort and visited the iconic Galle Lighthouse. We also chilled at Jungle Beach, which was such a vibe clear water, calm waves, and perfect for relaxing. Overall, the day was fun, relaxing, and full of amazing spots. Definitely recommend it for families!

Perfect introduction to Sri lanka
This was my first visit to Sri Lanka, and even though my time was limited, I’m truly glad I included this tour in my itinerary. Kavi, our tour guide, is extremely responsible, knowledgeable, and courteous. He was attentive to my needs throughout the trip and made sure everything ran smoothly. I enjoyed every stop on the tour, with the turtle hatchery and conservation center being my favorite. Many thanks to Kavi for choosing the best spots at each location. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Galle Day Tour from Colombo/Negombo by Private Car or Van: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Colombo.
How much does Galle Day Tour from Colombo/Negombo by Private Car or Van cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Colombo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Galle Day Tour from Colombo/Negombo by Private Car or Van take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Colombo is not rushed.
Is Galle Day Tour from Colombo/Negombo by Private Car or Van worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Colombo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Galle Day Tour from Colombo/Negombo by Private Car or Van?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Galle Day Tour from Colombo/Negombo by Private Car or Van suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Galle Day Tour from Colombo/Negombo by Private Car or Van?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Colombo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Colombo and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Galle Day Tour from Colombo/Negombo by Private Car or Van start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Colombo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Colombo?
+
On Outty we rank every Colombo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Flexi dates on all 5 to 7 days packages for car and English speaking driver, Sri Lanka Personal Tour Driver in private vehicle, 08 Nights in Magical Sri Lanka. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Colombo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Colombo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
