About this experience
Get experience the Galle which is the capital city of the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. The town has a World Heritage Site to its name and that is predominantly responsible for its popularity with tourists. This is the 300-year-old Dutch Fort, but there are other historical buildings to view as well. Jungle Beach has long been a well-known secret among southern beachgoers and is a peaceful alternative to the non-stop energy in Hikkaduwa and Unawatuna on either side of its coast.

Good day trip
Kris was fine. He did give some good advice on other places to visit. However, he spent practically all of his time generating other business /on his cell phone rather than provide more information to us. I guess that might be a cultural thing. However, I went on a different tour today and there was no comparison in terms of going above and beyond what was expected. Additionally, I asked the tour company if I could have the chauffeur take me to an ATM as I didn’t have any local currency. They told me yes and to ask him. I did, not once but twice. I wasn’t going to ask a third time. Hence I paid for my excursions with a credit card and once we got to town I used my cell phone to locate an ATM. Perhaps instead of focusing on future clients he should focus on the ones in his care. In all, he got us safely to and from our destinations and was pleasant enough. A chauffeur but not a tour guide.
Response from the operator: Dear Melody_D, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you had a good day trip and that Kris provided helpful advice on other places to visit. However, we sincerely regret that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding your request for an ATM stop, we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We strive to accommodate such requests promptly, and we will reinforce communication with our team to ensure that guest needs are met more efficiently. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and we truly appreciate your honesty. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more seamless experience on a future tour. Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Colombo.
How much does Galle Day Tour with Jungle Beach Experience from Colombo cost?
+
Prices start at $88 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Colombo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Galle Day Tour with Jungle Beach Experience from Colombo take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Colombo is not rushed.
Is Galle Day Tour with Jungle Beach Experience from Colombo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Colombo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Galle Day Tour with Jungle Beach Experience from Colombo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Galle Day Tour with Jungle Beach Experience from Colombo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Galle Day Tour with Jungle Beach Experience from Colombo?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Colombo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Colombo and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Galle Day Tour with Jungle Beach Experience from Colombo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Colombo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Colombo?
+
On Outty we rank every Colombo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Flexi dates on all 5 to 7 days packages for car and English speaking driver, Sri Lanka Personal Tour Driver in private vehicle, 08 Nights in Magical Sri Lanka. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Colombo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Colombo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
