The colorful tones of the palace, the highest exponent of Romanticism in Portugal and eternal work of King Fernando II, Artist-King, open doors to the imagination of all who arrive there, and the infinite shades of green that paint the surrounding park constitute a idyllic, often under the veil of the characteristic fog of the Sintra mountains. Unforgettable trip to Cascais and Sintra

Miguel Was the Highlight of Our Stay in Portugal! Stephen and I both agree that our day with Miguel was one of the absolute highlights of our entire stay in Portugal. He was not simply an excellent guide. He made every place, every story, and every piece of history come alive. Miguel gave us so much fascinating information beyond the usual tour-guide facts that my brain was boiling, in the best possible way! After visiting Quinta da Regaleira with him, I immediately began digging deeper into the history of the Knights Templar, the Freemasons, secret societies, and all the mysterious symbols we discussed. He sparked a genuine fascination that stayed with me long after the tour ended. Every place Miguel took us was breathtaking. Quinta da Regaleira was mesmerizing, Cabo da Roca was one of the most beautiful and powerful places I have ever seen, and Cascais and Sintra were simply WOW. I had never seen towns quite like them. Sintra especially felt so deeply connected to my energy that I left wanting to find a real estate agent and move there immediately! Miguel was knowledgeable, generous with his time and information, warm, funny, thoughtful, and an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. He even followed up afterward with beautiful drone videos, recommendations for Lisbon, restaurant suggestions, and advice about areas we might consider for real estate. That personal touch meant so much to us. The photographs and memories from our day with Miguel will keep us warm during the long, boring winter months when we are sitting in our little Pennsylvania village dreaming about Portugal. If you want someone who will show you beautiful places while helping you truly understand and feel their history, book a tour with Miguel. He gave us an unforgettable experience, and we cannot recommend him highly enough!

Take a double dose of patience before visiting Pena.

Unfortunately the most memorable part of the trip was the overcrowding at Pena. Far too many tickets were sold and the crowd management was poorly handled. The rest of the trip was satisfying but it started off terribly at Pena. A+ for the driver though as he treated us very well.

Response from the operator: Hi Peter, thanks for your feedback. We are very sorry that your visit to Palácio da Pena was hampered by overcrowding. We understand how frustrating this can be, but we remind you that the management of monuments such as the Penalty Palace is not in our responsibility, due to this factor we regret that it led to penalizing our score. We are happy to know that the A+ compliment to our driver, this being our target. Always available, Exclusif Travels & Tours

Best use of our time in Sintra!

We are back at home and have commented many times how glad we were that we went to Sintra with Miguel! There is no way we could have accomplished everything we did with a small group let alone by our selves. Miguel arrived on time in a fresh clean very comfortable car with questions about what we wanted to do, including what type of lunch we wanted. Our guide was so qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. He was a great communicator and let us know what to expect and we felt comfortable that he would be there waiting for us with a smile when we finished our tours.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your positive feedback about Miguel’s Sintra tour! We are so happy to hear that you had such a great experience and that Miguel helped make your visit even more special. It is great to know that the punctuality, comfort of the car, the knowledge of the guide and the attention to detail made all the difference. We greatly value feedback from our customers and will pass on your compliments to Miguel. We hope to be able to provide you with memorable experiences like this many times in the future!

Full Day Private Tour to Sintra and Cascais: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Full Day Private Tour to Sintra and Cascais cost?

+

Prices start at $299 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Private Tour to Sintra and Cascais take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Full Day Private Tour to Sintra and Cascais worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Private Tour to Sintra and Cascais?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Private Tour to Sintra and Cascais suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Private Tour to Sintra and Cascais?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Private Tour to Sintra and Cascais start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

+

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
