About this experience
Ecotours Chile Private Tours has developed this superb experience for you, visiting Colchagua Valley from Santiago on private services Wineries visited: - Los Maquis - Viña Montes for lunch - Viña Clos Apalta, wine by glass NOT included - Wine tasting at prestigious Neyen winery The Colchagua Valley is one of the world’s premier wine tourist destinations. Known for its beautiful vineyard covered hills, hundred year old vines, enchanting colonial estate houses and modern high tech wineries, sets up a perfect atmosphere to enjoy a day trip from Santiago city. Located in the southern half of the Rapel Valley, the Colchagua Valley has evolved over the last twenty years from being a calm stretch of farmland to becoming one of the largest and most active wine-producing regions in the country. The relatively low altitude of the coastal hills allows the Pacific breeze to mingle with the Andean winds, which cools the valley and prolongs the maturation period of the region.

Fantastic all day Wine Tours
We spent a fantastic day with Matthias on a tour of 3 vineyards to the south of Santiago. His willingness to share his knowledge of not only wine, but Chilean current events and history was very much appreciated. He was very motivated and helped us get the most out of all the stops along the tour. We highly recommend this tour and give Matthias all the credit! Len and Teresa Hudson, WI

The perfect day!
We had a great trip to the Colchagua Valley from Santiago with Leo. The communication with the Ecotours team was clear when one of the Vineyards wasn't available for our date. Leo was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about Chile and wine. I was traveling with my grandparents, so this was the perfect way to easily see the countryside without having to deal with logistics and planning. The vineyards were all absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to return!
Response from the operator: Good morning Alexa, thanks for your nice words and feedback. Let us know when you are back again in Chile so we can show you our beautiful country. Kind regards, Cristian

Must do wine tour!
We had the best time on our private wine tour with our driver, Leo. He was punctual, professional, knowledgable, and genuinely kind. Leo knew so much about the history of Chile, which was helpful to us to understand more of the background than what we have already been told. We visited Clos de Apalta, Neyen, and Montes with lunch at Fuego de Apalta (a must!). The food was delicious. Overall, highly recommend Cristian and Leo for a private wine tour. Thanks for accommodating us!
Response from the operator: Thanks for your nice review, we are looking forward to welcome you again! Regards, Cristian

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full Day Private Colchagua Wine Tour from Santiago: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.
How much does Full Day Private Colchagua Wine Tour from Santiago cost?
+
Prices start at $265 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Private Colchagua Wine Tour from Santiago take?
+
Plan for about 11.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.
Is Full Day Private Colchagua Wine Tour from Santiago worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Private Colchagua Wine Tour from Santiago?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Private Colchagua Wine Tour from Santiago suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 19. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 11.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Private Colchagua Wine Tour from Santiago?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 11.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Private Colchagua Wine Tour from Santiago start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santiago?
+
On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Tour with 4 vineyards from Santiago., Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Santiago: Valparaiso, Viña del Mar & Casablanca Wine Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santiago?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santiago?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
