About this experience

We have been operating wine tours in different valleys of Chile since 2008. The Maipo Valley is one of the preferred destinations of guests due to the beautiful views of the Pre Mountain Range and The Cordillera de Los Andes. The Maipo Valley is one of the most important wine regions in Chile. Located south of the capital, Santiago, the Maipo Valley is home to some of the most prestigious wines in the country. It is often referred to as the Bordeaux of South America, and the rich Cabernet Sauvignon is undoubtedly its most famous wine.

What you'll see and do

  1. Vina Aquitania

With 30 years of experience, Viña Aquitania is recognized for producing wines in two unique Terroirs in Chile. Viña Aquitania is a boutique winery located in the footsteps of the Andes Mountains, within the city of Santiago, in the heart of the Maipo Alto Valley. We focus on high-quality wines in limited quantities. Our visitors have the opportunity to see the entire wine production process, where modern equipment is used, and the tradition of artisanal processes. The visit begins at the winery’s lookout, where you have a 360º panoramic view of the vineyard. Then you go down you will appreciate the vineyard and its condition depending on the time of year. Finally, the wine-making cellar and the fermentation room, the barrel room, the bottle storage cellar, and the labeling sector are visited. After the visit, we will finish with a tasting of our 4 premium wines: - Aquitania Rosé
- Aquitania Carmenère
- Aquitania Cabernet Sauvignon
- Aquitania Chardonnay

  2. Vina El Principal

El Principal winery is named after the Indian Chief Picunche Andetelmo, “El Principal”, master of the lands which today house our terroir, at the foothills of the Cordillera de los Andes in the Valle de Alto Maipo. His visionary and peaceful character gained him the respect of the Spanish conquistadores giving origin to a story of not only access to them but also for future exchanges, which lasts until today. Today the spirit of Andetelmo is still present in our wines which express all the nobility and quality of a unique terroir. Located in Pirque, Viña El Principal invites you to enjoy and celebrate our extensive vineyards regardless of your motive which is the true expression of a unique terroir. The tour includes a visit to the winery, a visit to the barrel room, an explanation of the production processes, bottling, storage, and tasting of our 4 wines: Kiñe (white), Calicanto, Memorias, and the icon El Principal

  4. Vina Perez Cruz

60 years ago, Pablo Pérez and Mariana Cruz discovered the perfect place to create what would soon be the Pérez Cruz Viña, on the southern bank of the Maipo Valley at the foot of the Andes Mountains. They found a privileged space in the Chilean countryside, full of tradition and geographical value since the slopes located at high altitudes where they perched had thousands of years of rock formations and earthworks under their feet that made it unique, a stony and clayey soil that is complex to cultivate, rich in minerals and privileged in its Mediterranean climate. The visit Includes tour of the winery, Mesanino floor, the cellar and ending with a tasting of 3 wines (CS Reserva and 2 Limited Edition) Once the visit ends we'll start heading back to Santiago and drop you off at your Hotel. End of services.

Saw wine made the old way!

We had a fabulous time on this tour. Got to see them actually making wine with some of the old techniques! Was really cool to see the process. The wine was delicious of course. And beautiful views all throughout the valley.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Private Maipo Valley Tour Boutique Wineries?

+

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santiago?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santiago?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
