Not recommended

Unfortunately this tour is not recommended..our pick up from the hotel worked, but then we were pressed into a huge bus with 64 seats which we had to wait 1 h for , the bus was dirty and the seats heavily dirty.. Englicher Guid was unfortunately rather sporadic because 90 % spanish..the group size was not as indicated..the bus was full so more than 50 people..it was more of a transport to Chichén Itzá..on site you get lost quickly..because mass casserole, the cenotes, was only one as described in the program, unfortunately also the completely crowded and not to relax, more Disney World than beautiful nature...then we went on in the dingy bus to dinner and 2.Cenote which is not mentioned in the program, because not nice, unkempt plant with a fake Mayan village which was completely trashed and only wants to sell a bit..Food well typical buffet stop, there we had to stay 2h unfortunately was missing the promised cenotes, in Valladolid you are dropped off in the middle of the city, the park surrounded by 1000 buses bring the touris.. you do not need ..for 130 euros p.P this tour is overpriced, just a transport with admission and bad food, too impersonal and shabby..we have filled up unwell..on a criticism and comment our dissatisfaction is not addressed.is so, we book for the next days here what was planned...

Response from the operator: We're sorry you didn't enjoy the tour. When booking a shared tour, you need to know that you're traveling with other people. Chichen Itza, our best-selling tour... did you expect to have the pyramids all to yourselves? You booked the tour with one cenote, not two. You should read the description carefully beforehand to avoid these issues! Sometimes it seems like people want a premium, personalized service tailored to their schedule, but they pay for a regular, standard, and shared service! Regards

Best experience Chichen Itza

I could not be on vacation in Playa del Carmen and not know the pyramids of Chichen Itza. The tour was very complete and the guide a genius. Thanks for everything

Cenotes and restaurant were wonderful. The rest of the tour was a shambles.

If you’re English speaking, this isn’t the tour for you. I had difficulty finding an English speaking tour anywhere else. So there weren’t a lot of other options. But I would say the tour was probably 96% in Spanish with English thrown in every other word which didn’t make sense. And sometimes instructions important instructions were given totally in Spanish. The worst part was it was a huge cattle call. We were shuffled on and off three or four different buses throughout the day and there was mass confusion at every stop. When we stopped at the site, there were 12 tour groups all mixed in together and nobody knew what was happening. Worst of all was the tour guide at the pyramids spent more than half the time talking nonsense. And we had no time to look at the pyramids. We ended up walking away halfway through the tour just so we can get a few pictures. On top of that there’s a structure called the Observatory that is world famous. There was no mention of that structure probably because it was a distance away. And we totally missed it. Weren’t even told we could walk to it. Instead of being allowed to go to the observatory, we have to save time during the day to stop in the little village. Which was totally unnecessary. On the plus side the cenote that we swim in were absolutely beautiful and a wonderful experience. Along with the lunch, which was excellent.

Response from the operator: We regret that the tour did not meet your expectations. It is also important to note that you chose the tour in Spanish, so logically the entire group was Spanish speaking. A pity to read your comment. When we asked you by whatsapp what you thought of the tour, you told us that you had a great time, and you wrote us this. A pity

A day of fun

We had a great time! Christian was a knowledgeable tour guide and made the entire day fun. The Ik Kil cenote is beautiful and was a refreshing thing to do before we went to the Chichen Itza site. Lunch was delicious and plentiful. We didn't go into the second cenote - we found hammocks nearby and enjoyed the weather.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your comments and for your trust in us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the tours in Riviera Maya! For your next trip to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Dominican Republic or Mexico count on us! =) Regards, Guido. ParaViajantes Riviera Maya

Full Day Guided Tour Chichen Itza + Cenote + Valladolid + Lunch!: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Full Day Guided Tour Chichen Itza + Cenote + Valladolid + Lunch! cost?

+

Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Guided Tour Chichen Itza + Cenote + Valladolid + Lunch! take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Full Day Guided Tour Chichen Itza + Cenote + Valladolid + Lunch! worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Guided Tour Chichen Itza + Cenote + Valladolid + Lunch!?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Guided Tour Chichen Itza + Cenote + Valladolid + Lunch! suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Guided Tour Chichen Itza + Cenote + Valladolid + Lunch!?

+

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Guided Tour Chichen Itza + Cenote + Valladolid + Lunch! start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
