Could be better!
This is an unguided tour where the driver skillfully drives two hours and a half and drops you off snd picks up at the same location. Experiencing life with the renowned bard is a memorable experience but there should be better logistics and commentary. Anne Hathaway’s cottage is a 30 minute walk each way and frankly we spent more time walking than seeing much there. There is coach park on the premises which which could be a pick up point instead of making us walk all the way back. Second the Shakespeare’s new birth place is actually just viewing his garden with no house to see. It should be clearly indicated that we are only simply seeing the gardens on his property.

Only tickets and transportation - no guide
You are just dumped in the town with tickets to 3 places, one is 1.5 miles away and you have to get yourself there. No guide only a bus driver that tells you where to go to get the ticket and when to be back.

False advertisement!!!
Do not use this company. We are currently on the way to Stratford and it’s been a disaster before arriving. When we arrived they said our bus was the one outside the waiting area but the driver had not arrived. They then directed us to another bus, where we found driver saying he was headed to Oxford. Eventually a staff person came to alert the driver of the change in itinerary. AFTER we are seated on the bus and ready to go, the driver tells us that at the end of our tour he will be dropping us off at a different location than our meeting place. This is completely contrary to what our booking details indicated. We told him that our itinerary indicated otherwise and he disregarded our concerns. When I contacted the customer service number, they stated that they can drop off at a different location. I explained that the booking receipt in my possession said we would be dropped off at the meeting place, however he cited the fine print in their contract. We purposely made plans near the meeting/drop off spot to coincide with our tour. Now we’re scrambling to figure things out, while in a foreign country, instead of enjoying the bus ride over. Additionally, prior to our leaving the station, my husband asked a tour rep if our driver was sure of our destination, given the earlier confusion. The tour was was dismissive and condescending, stating that their drivers were experienced and knew what they were doing. Lastly, the tour we booked was listed as lasting 11 hours. Something we found appealing as it would give us plenty of time at the location. Upon boarding the bus, our driver stated we would be back within 9 hours. I do not believe in spending my money on a company that provides false advertising, does not honor it’s commitments, and treats it’s customers with condescension. I will spend the next two hours of this bus ride cancelling future tours and making alternative plans.

Great Trip with Armando!
We had an amazing day in Stratford-upon-Avon with Armando, who handled everything with ease in the middle of a heat wave! He kindly drove us directly to Anne Hathaway’s cottage and then to Stratford-upon-Avon so we didn’t have to walk too far in the 90+ temps. Armando did it all—driving the bus while narrating the sights in London and in Stratford, and arranging our tickets. We had plenty of time to see the main attractions as well. Definitely recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such an amazing day in Stratford-upon-Avon, even during the heatwave. It’s fantastic to know that Armando went above and beyond to ensure your comfort by thoughtfully planning stops and minimizing walking in the high temperatures. We’re especially pleased that his multitasking—from driving and narrating to arranging tickets—helped make your experience smooth and enjoyable, while still giving you plenty of time to explore the main attractions. Your recommendation means a great deal to us, and we’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to Armando. We hope to welcome you again for another memorable trip soon!

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From London: Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon Day Trip by Coach: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does From London: Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon Day Trip by Coach cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From London: Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon Day Trip by Coach take?
+
Plan for about 10.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is From London: Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon Day Trip by Coach worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 363 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From London: Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon Day Trip by Coach?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From London: Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon Day Trip by Coach suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From London: Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon Day Trip by Coach?
+
Around 127 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 10.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From London: Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon Day Trip by Coach start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
