Pedro! Pedro! Pedro!
To say that this was the best experience in Portugal would be an understatement! We travel dozens of times a year and have booked hundreds of experience, yet, Pedro topped all of them. He made it an experience we could only wish for. He took us to so many local spots and off the beaten touristy path hidden gems we lost count. He was funny, easy going And when he found out that we like house music, he went out of his way to take us to an amazing lounge inside an old building perched on top of the cliff with fun crowd, drinks and live dj playing as we watched the sun set! No way we would have been able to enjoy Porto for all it has to offer if it wasn’t for Pedro! So grateful we got so lucky!
Response from the operator: Hello dear Igor, LRS Private Tours thanks you very much for your kind review — it truly means a lot to us. We are delighted to know that you had a pleasant experience. Memorable experience
Our trip to Porto and Aveiro was absolutely fantastic! Since my mother doesn't enjoy walking long distances, our tour guide, Pedro Correia, took the time to ask about our preferences at the beginning of the tour. When I shared my concern, he thoughtfully adjusted the experience to make it as comfortable as possible for her. Whenever there was a walk involved, Pedro would let my mom know in advance how far we would be walking, which helped her feel prepared and at ease. His kindness, patience, and attention to detail truly made all the difference. This annual vacation is something my mom and I look forward to every year, and Pedro made sure it was a memorable and enjoyable experience for both of us. We are incredibly grateful for his outstanding care and professionalism. Thank you, Pedro, for going above and beyond!

Your experience depends on the driver/guide you get
First the positive: we only had time for a one-day side trip with time constraints, so a private tour gives the flexibility of tailoring the schedule and program to our interests and needs. The ride was comfortable, and we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, very convenient. The cost is much lower than other similar private tours. Now the negative: our driver is completely new to this business--we didn't ask but it might be his first assignment, as a result he only did the driving, no "tour guiding" whatsoever. It was our understanding that the driver also serves as the tour guide and would make relevant recommendations as to where to visit and where to eat etc and provide background information about the places we are going. We didn't get that. He was a very nice guy, but he more or less just did the driving. We brought a tentative itinerary and that's what we used without him offering any input. He isn't familiar with the locations of some of the sites, and relies on GPS for driving directions. He dropped us off at the wrong entrance of a site that we really wanted to see and ended up having to skip it because of a time. He also needed to take frequent smoking breaks which prolonged the driving time and reduced our time at each site. Over all it was not a bad experience, I would still recommend it, but it could be much better if we had an experienced driver/guide.

Amazing day in Porto
We had the best time with Pedro. Despite some April rain showers we had a wonderful time exploring the old city. Pedro is extremely knowledgeable and a gracious host and tour guide. He made my family feel comfortable and my kids had a great day touring the beautiful city of Porto!
Response from the operator: Hello dear Tara, thank you so much for your review, It´s very Important for us. Hope we can see you and your family again soon. Best regards, muito obrigada Luisa Silva

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Lisbon to Porto Private Tour + Port Wine Tasting Option: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does From Lisbon to Porto Private Tour + Port Wine Tasting Option cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Lisbon to Porto Private Tour + Port Wine Tasting Option take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is From Lisbon to Porto Private Tour + Port Wine Tasting Option worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Lisbon to Porto Private Tour + Port Wine Tasting Option?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Lisbon to Porto Private Tour + Port Wine Tasting Option suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Lisbon to Porto Private Tour + Port Wine Tasting Option?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Lisbon to Porto Private Tour + Port Wine Tasting Option start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
