Top notch private tour of Sintra and surrounding
We had an outstanding private tour for 5 (could be up to 8) with Ricardo and couldn't have asked for a better experience. He created a customized itinerary that perfectly matched what we wanted to see, while still being flexible throughout the day if we wanted to adjust our plans. Everything ran smoothly—he was always on time, organized, and made sure we never felt rushed. In advance of tour, Ricardo had clear complete and timely communication. Ricardo is friendly, knowledgeable, and speaks perfect English. From Sintra’s Pena Palace to Quinta da Regaleira, a local wine tasting, and Cabo da Roca coastal view point, every stop was seamless thanks to his planning. If you're looking for a professional guide who truly cares about providing a great experience, I would book Ricardo again and again. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! It was an absolute pleasure hosting your group and creating a customized day for you. I’m thrilled you enjoyed the pace of the tour, from exploring Sintra’s palaces and Cabo da Roca to our local wine tasting. Making sure everything runs smoothly and seamlessly is always my top priority. You would be welcome back anytime! If you ever return to Portugal, it would be an honor to guide you again. Warm regards, Ricardo

Memorable day!
Our day in Sintra with Ricardo was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal! Ricardo was punctual, professional, and an exceptionally safe driver. From the moment he picked us up, he made the day fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. His knowledge of Sintra, its history, and the surrounding area was outstanding, and he shared fascinating information throughout the tour. He was also incredibly thoughtful and took countless photos for us, making sure we came home with wonderful memories of our day. A special highlight was our visit to Mare et Corvus Winery. The setting was beautiful, the wines were excellent, and it was the perfect addition to an already fantastic tour. Ricardo went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting Sintra and looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and first-class guide. Thank you, Ricardo, for an unforgettable day!

I always strive to make my tours as relaxed, informative, and memorable as possible, so knowing that you enjoyed the history, the pace, and the photos makes all the hard work worthwhile. A special thank you for mentioning our stop at Mare et Corvus Winery—it really is a hidden gem, and I’m so glad the beautiful setting and excellent wines added that perfect touch to your day! Your high recommendation means the world to me. If your travels ever bring you back to Portugal, you know you always have a friend and guide ready for the next adventure. Wishing you all the best, and until next time! Warm regards, Ricardo FunTasting Tours

When you find someone this exceptional, you don’t even consider going anywhere else.
This was our second time using Ricardo’s services at Funtasting Tours to visit various sites around Lisbon and Sesimbra — and honestly, that says it all. When you find someone this exceptional, you don’t even consider going anywhere else. Ricardo is everything you hope for in a guide and so much more: kind, polite, professional, and always prompt. He is genuinely generous with his time and expertise, sharing insider knowledge about restaurants and sightseeing that you simply wouldn’t find on your own. But what really sets Ricardo apart is that he treats you like family — not like a customer. He went so far above and beyond that he even helped us find a babysitter during our trip. That’s the kind of warmth and care that is truly rare. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning like us, I cannot recommend Ricardo and Funtasting Tours highly enough. Book any tour or service he offers — you will not regret it. He is an absolute gem, and he made our trip to Portugal one we will never forget.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you back. We truly strive to treat our guests like family, and knowing we made your trip to Portugal unforgettable means the world to us. We look forward to seeing you a third time Next time for a Barbecue... :)

This tour turned out to...
This tour turned out to be the perfect way to spend a day touring the surrounding areas of Lisbon. Ricardo was incredibly nice and dedicated to making our day meaningful. We didn’t have a ton of time and so glad we chose this as one of the days. The trip included a stop at Sintra, a very lovely wine stop, and then visit to the coast and lunch. It was simply a very smooth day. He went at the pace we wanted and adjusted everything as needed. Highly recommend if you are looking for a day tour!
Response from the operator: Dear Mitchell Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a real pleasure spending the day with you and showing you some of the beautiful places around Lisbon. I’m very glad the itinerary worked well with your schedule and that you enjoyed the mix of Sintra, the winery, and the coast. My goal is always to make the day relaxed, flexible, and meaningful for each guest, so it’s great to hear that you felt the tour moved at the right pace for you. Thank you again for choosing the tour during your time in Portugal and for the recommendation. It truly means a lot, and I hope to welcome you back someday for more exploring! Kind Regards

Wonderful day trip Lisbon! Highly recommend!
Ricardo communicated wonderfully with us before the trip to book our lunch reservation and coordinate our time for meeting. He drove us to must see Sintra and booked our tickets to Quinta da Regaleira in advance. He planned an early arrival in Sintra to beat the crowds so we were able to visit the National Palace in addition to shopping in town before our timed tickets. He surprised us with delicious local pastries once we were back in the car. Once we were done in Sintra he drove us around lovely Colores to see amazing Atlantic Ocean views and treated us to a yummy Chorizo roll from a local shop before taking us to visit a charming winery where we purchased interesting and affordable bottles to ship home to the US. Our lunch at beachfront Guincho (coordinated by Ricardo) was delicious with great service and a gorgeous view! Our final stop was at must see Cabo da Roca and we drove home along Cascais to see the cute town and marina area. Ricardo took many pictures for us which was a very nice touch since we usually just take selfies. He was a warm and friendly guide who we highly recommend for a relaxing and lovely day!
Response from the operator: Thank you again for your trust and recommendation – it truly means a lot. I hope to welcome you back to Portugal someday for another unforgettable tour! Next time, I'll take you skiing... 😉 All the best for you

From Lisbon to Sintra, Cabo da Roca + Wine Tasting, Hotel Pick-Up: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does From Lisbon to Sintra, Cabo da Roca + Wine Tasting, Hotel Pick-Up cost?
+
Prices start at $115 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Lisbon to Sintra, Cabo da Roca + Wine Tasting, Hotel Pick-Up take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is From Lisbon to Sintra, Cabo da Roca + Wine Tasting, Hotel Pick-Up worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Lisbon to Sintra, Cabo da Roca + Wine Tasting, Hotel Pick-Up?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Lisbon to Sintra, Cabo da Roca + Wine Tasting, Hotel Pick-Up suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book From Lisbon to Sintra, Cabo da Roca + Wine Tasting, Hotel Pick-Up?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Lisbon to Sintra, Cabo da Roca + Wine Tasting, Hotel Pick-Up start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
