Art Class

Teachers here are very friendly and share their own expertise in how they do art. It is a great and peaceful environment to do art.

A wonderful drawing experience that I would highly recommend.

The classes are professionally run, yet they maintain a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that makes everyone feel comfortable. The teachers are excellent—talented, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping students develop their skills and confidence. One of the highlights is the ambience. The space is inspiring and enjoyable to spend time in, which adds so much to the overall experience. Every class feels welcoming, and I always leave feeling motivated and having learned something new.

The Best Art Classes in London

This is the best place for a beginner like me who couldn't hold a brush properly or understand colours, let alone draw/sketch at the same time, for a brilliant artist like some I met here. It's very easy to book lessons, especially via their website. I personally just walked in and was nicely surprised by how quirky and efficient the place is. It's like an underground den full of treasure. Then you can be spoilt with choices: life drawing, drawing, oil painting, acrylics - you name it. I would recommend buying a set of lessons like I did (20 lessons) because it allows you to fluctuate between a variety of lessons to enrich your journey. The quality of tutors is another thing: personable, informal yet professional. I would not change my art classes here for the world.

I couldn’t be more pleased.

Signing up for a drawing course at Sunny Art Centre turned out to be one of the smartest decisions I’ve made this year.

I'm learning so much at a pace manageable for me and my schedule. All the tutors I’ve met have been excellent - each has their own distinct approach but all offer equally constructive advice and encouragement.

Taking drawing classes is something I had wanted to do for years, but some other obligation or issue always seemed to get in my way. I’m so glad I discovered Sunny at a time in my life when I had the opportunity to book a course.

When I consider the quality of instruction, low learner to tutor ratio, flexible booking system, and convenient central London location, the breakdown per hour for these classes is exceptionally good value for money (and please note: I’m a cheapskate).

 I couldn’t be more pleased.

Great relaxed atmosphere, tuition on demand

I can only highly recommend the Sunny Art Centre. The staff are all so welcoming and helpful. I have been mostly self taught until now but I really needed support with oil painting. There's only so much you can learn by watching online videos. You can't replace in-person tuition. So, I bought a set of credits towards oil painting tuition. It is really easy, once you get setup on the portal you can just book a session up to 2 hours before it starts, amazing for those who can't plan too long ahead of time. I get way more than I expected out of each tuition. Also, you don't need to buy every single thing on the list of art materials to get started. I really liked the positive mindset. I was also going through an "artist's block", and their tutoring helped me through it. I was also really scared to paint portraits but again they made everything relaxed and enjoyable, I therefore managed to gain confidence to paint portraits on my own. By the way this is the perfect format for those who already have some experience as an artist but are not quite professional, you can just ask for ad-hoc support. The Central London location makes it really easy to access. As said before I can only highly recommend.

Experience Beginner Drawing Class at Art Academy: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Experience Beginner Drawing Class at Art Academy cost?

+

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Experience Beginner Drawing Class at Art Academy take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Experience Beginner Drawing Class at Art Academy worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Experience Beginner Drawing Class at Art Academy?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Experience Beginner Drawing Class at Art Academy suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Experience Beginner Drawing Class at Art Academy?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Experience Beginner Drawing Class at Art Academy start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

+

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

+

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
