    An honest review

I did not have the best experience. When I first areived to check in I was given the run around. The instructions on where to meet or who to look for was vague. It took over an hour before someone could find me in the system because no one ever provided the boat company my reservation number. Aside from the late check in due to poor miscommunication the overall excursion was a great time

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience. We sent the locations and explained who to look for, however, you arrived at a different place. Your waiting time was not for an hour, it was less that 30 minutes and it was because of a late arrival. The name of the Catamaran place was provided too. It's always important to follow instruccions calmly to avoid confusions We are glad to know that you had a great time at the tour, Isla Mujeres is a gorgeous place to visit and to explore. We are sorry for the issues for the check in, we hope to welcome you again soon

    Boat Antonio de Turavia

Great day we spent in Isla Mujeres, Riviera Maya, with the crew of the Boat Antonio. We had a great day, we didn't lack anything. The crew very attentive at all times and always showed great professionalism. The exquisite personal treatment and what to say about those rich combinations that made us thirsty and cheerful. We had a good time on the boat with the crew, very fun and very good people. The walk along the coral reef snorkeling is an unforgettable experience, and if the guide runs it, as it was in our case, makes the experience an incredible memory. Thank you Barco Antonio, you are great. I hope we meet again and, if not, you have very good luck and above all... Never change. A hug from Soria, Spain.

Response from the operator: Gracias por sus comentarios. Los esperamos pronto

    Quick daylong getaway from Cancun

Nice little island. The south point was good some good picture points there. Highlight of the trip was the golf cart type rental by which you could drive around the whole island.

    DO NOT book this trip!!!!

I’m not even sure where to start this is so bad. To start it says the tour is 4 hours. Take heed this is not a half day trip. On our last day I was specifically looking for a tour that we could do in the morning and enjoy our afternoon and this proved to be very wrong. We are on this tour currently and after being told departure was at 930am we waited until after 10 to board. Fast forward 4 hours. We weren’t dropped for lunch until 2 pm at a deserted island. Lunch took 20 minutes and was HORRIBLE. Fast forward another hour. Lunch ended 40 mins ago, there is literally nothing to do, it is 3pm, and we’re told we HAVE to wait till 4pm to leave. Seriously?? Everyone is ready to be done but we’re trapped on this island with no way off. Unreal. There goes our last day in Cancun. Wasted. Now let me get to the detail of the missing hours in between boarding, 5 hours, and being trapped. After a long check in process and waiting to board a boat that says has unlimited free drinks they continue to try to sell you drinks in the waiting area. As well as push sales of merchandise. Finally we board. This process is fine. It’s probably the best part of the trip because at this point you still think you have some fun awaiting you. They immediately start serving “drinks”. Just sugary water that they say have alcohol in them. They don’t. Oh and no beer until after snorkeling. No reason given. You slowly work your way across to isla mujeres to snorkel. Oh wait. They forget to mention that conditions have to be PERFECT to snorkel. A slight breeze today and it was unsafe so what we thought would be the highlight was scrapped. I should have seen it coming when they started serving beer half way there. They did however still let people get off the boat and swim for a couple minutes. Yay!! I can do that at my hotel for free. And why can we swim but not snorkel?? Now the kids are crushed because that is what they wanted to do. However, no big deal. Next stop Isla Mujeres. They dock, and take you off the boat directly into a store that you can get 50% off for shopping there. Really? Another kickback for bringing in tourists? We got out of there quickly and tried to enjoy some of the town with the whopping 45 mins we had left. Stopped at a street vendor and had a great torta. Good thing we stopped because as I mentioned lunch was very late and very awful. Other than that the island was just eh. Lots of high pressure sales for junk you’ll throw away when you get home. We did try to make one purchase but the dock timeline was so strict we had to run to not be left behind. I now wish they would have left us since we are trapped on an island still waiting to go home. Next up, lunch. Yay!!! Uh, no. So bad. Other tours I’ve taken they cook for you on the boat and you have a great time getting to know others on the boat. Not this time. They drove us another 25 minutes and dropped us a beach cafeteria. We got to stand in line with people from other boats to scoop slop onto our plates. Yummy. I think this area maybe used to be cool but it’s just a broken down water park that is closed currently. It’s like those creepy closed carnivals in horror movies. Yikes. Well, we’re still waiting to leave and I’ve run out of nice things to say. Just beware. It appears that this company just changes their name on TripAdvisor once they get too many bad reviews so that they still get business. Trust me. I’m watching and will repost as necessary

    mass diving

the catamaran ride and the beaches on Isla Mujeres are not bad, beautiful landscape although everything very oriented to tourism and that you spend beyond all inclusive. Scuba diving is a tease, a scam. more than 80 people at a time in the sea alone of our boat (about 10 boats more around the same thing), with 3 guides, the bad-tempered leader, normal by the pressure of carrying so many people, to see a few fish and some underwater sculptures without any value, giving flaps to each other. on the way back from the tour and partying on the boat, outrageous pressure (total harassment) to get tips. Not recommended.

Exclusive Isla Mujeres Tour in Catamaran! Sailing from Cancun: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Exclusive Isla Mujeres Tour in Catamaran! Sailing from Cancun cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Exclusive Isla Mujeres Tour in Catamaran! Sailing from Cancun take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Exclusive Isla Mujeres Tour in Catamaran! Sailing from Cancun worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Exclusive Isla Mujeres Tour in Catamaran! Sailing from Cancun?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Exclusive Isla Mujeres Tour in Catamaran! Sailing from Cancun suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Exclusive Isla Mujeres Tour in Catamaran! Sailing from Cancun?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Exclusive Isla Mujeres Tour in Catamaran! Sailing from Cancun start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
