The Everest View Trek is a short, sweet yet luxurious trek in the Everest region. If you are on a tight schedule, then this trek is the one for you. As the trek explores the Khumbu Valley, you can also enjoy the biodiversity in the Sagarmatha National Park. The trip begins with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After landing at the Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla, you head north towards Phakding. As the trail continues along the Dudh Koshi River, you enter the Sagarmatha National Park and reach Namche Bazaar. Then, you explore the nearby areas and hike to the Hotel Everest View. Since the trail only reaches the hotel, you’ll find the route relatively easier than the other ones in the Khumbu Valley. The hotel provides a luxurious 360o view of the Everest range, which is hard to find elsewhere in this region. Then, you trek to the Khumjung village which is the highest point on the trek. You can relish amazing views of Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Mt. Everest (8848m).

Magnificent Experience
Our guide, Badri, is a glorious human being / masterful / ceaselessly caring & patient / brilliant / fun. Our porters are supportive / fun / kind / powerhouses. Bhagwat, the man running the show, is a consummate gentleman yet forcefully (in the best way) saved the day with our chopper back to Kathmandu. Truly. My 2 brothers & I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going with this company & Badri / Bhagwat. Namaste, Adam New York City October 10-20, 2024

Amazing tour and service!
Bhagwat provides an amazing tour coupled with quality accomodation, service and staff. His communication skills were the best I have seen and I can assure you that I will be using his services again. My dad became unexpectedly ill half way through the tour and Bhagwat went above and beyond to support him back to good health. I can not recommend this company highly enough!
Response from the operator: Dear Amelia, Namaste and warm greetings from Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours. Thank you so much for your lovely words. With regards Bhagwat Simkhada

Everest short trek
I arrived in Kathmandu and was thoroughly taken care of by the tour operator who organised everything from start to finish, including trekking equipment and all A to B's. My Sherpa Pemba was indispensable and I literally wouldn't have completed the trek without him, used as he was to altitude and carrying the bulk of my luggage. The guest houses I stayed in were all good - though I advise checking for avoidable drafts before you confirm a night's stay! Also be aware that it is often better to order local dishes than western food, which they often have their own interpretation of in Nepal! This is a great short way into trekking in Nepal and perfect if you don't have time for a longer stay. Needless to say, the main attraction is the breathtaking landscape and wilderness...
Response from the operator: Dear Owena, Namaste and warm greetings from Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours. Thank you for your lovely words. With regards Bhagwat Simkhada

Everest Short Trek
Awesome trek through the Himalayan mountains wilderness with the Himalayan Adventure. The tour was well organized, Bhagwat was absolutely amazing, very helpful and accommodating. Excellent service and highly recommended. Will definitely return for other adventure with Himalayan Adventure.
Response from the operator: Dear Kathleena, Namaste and warm greetings from Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours. Thank you for your precious words. It was a short trek due to your short period of time in Nepal. It was great that you enjoyed the trek and happy with our team service. I am sure i will see you in next season. With Regards Bhagwat Simkgada

Everest Short Trek -5 Days: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Short Trek -5 Days cost?
+
Prices start at $1,100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Short Trek -5 Days take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Short Trek -5 Days worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Short Trek -5 Days?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Short Trek -5 Days suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Everest Short Trek -5 Days?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Short Trek -5 Days start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
