Successful three passes trek :)
We did the Three Passes Trek in Nepal with Pemba, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Pemba was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive throughout the trek. He managed the challenging route with confidence, always ensuring our safety and comfort. He was very kind and had a good attitude. We highly recommend this company to anyone planning a trek in Nepal—especially challenging routes like the Three Passes.

EBC and Cho la pass
This was my 4th time with these wonderful guides at Three Jewels Adventures and again they provided a fantastic trip. From the minute we arrive to our departure we were looked after so well. Pema was an amazing guide, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her. She arranged for past guides Sanduk and Lok to meet up with me, that was a lovely surprise. She will go far in her guiding ambitions, she is a very special woman.

Amazing Experience with Three Jewels in Nepal
I wholeheartedly recommend Three Jewels for your trekking adventure in Nepal. My daughter and I booked the trip to mark her high school graduation. All we had to do was get ourselves to Kathmandu—Three Jewels took care of everything else. We went with Amber and the Three Jewels team based on a friend's recommendation. Our experience on the ground was fantastic. With our amazing guide, Pema Lamu Tamang, we spent 16 days trekking the ‘Three Passes’ in Sagarmatha National Park. It was incredible to have a female guide leading the way—such an inspiration for my daughter on the trip. When unpredictable mountain weather caused issues with Lukla Airport, Pema and the team worked tirelessly to adapt the plan. Can't recommend them enough! Do recommend: - Climbing Gokyo Ri and Kalapatha for sunrise! Do not recommend: - The Sata Lounge in Changi Airport!

Three High Passess Trek
This is my third trek with Three Jewels and again a positive experience from my first email to Amber, throughout the trek and return to Kathmandu. As noted in the description, this is a serious trek with an extended period of time at high altitude. While I had prepared physically, the altitude was far more challenging than I had anticipated. As a solo trekker, I hade an amazing guide Pembe, and a porter Sangye who both cared for me from the moment I woke up until I went to bed. I could not have completed this trek without them and they were a pleasure to be with and extremely kind and generous. While I saw a few people doing this trek without a guide, I frankly think it is foolish. I have been trekking in Nepal before and this trek was far more difficult than I expected due to the terrain and altitude. Each of the three passes is an ascent to almost 18,000 feet with extremely steep descents, often with snow and ice. The passes are remote with fewer trekkers and no villages or homes for hours and at times it is even difficult to determine the trail path. Because of Pembe and Sangye, the challenges of this trek were not a problem and they made continual adjustments to the itinerary based on my pace, not feeling well for few days etc. This is the trek to do if you are looking for a deep and personal experience in the Himalayas. It was fun to be at EBC but the views from the trails on this trek are stunning! The Lukla flights this year Oct/Nov were especially problematic but Amber was able to get me to Lukla on time and Pemba got me on a return flight to Ramechhap the day after my return to Lukla when the trek was over. What a pleasure to have every single detail taken care of so that I could focus my attention on this amazing journey. Currently, very few flights are available from Kathmandu to Lukla due to airport construction so most flights are to Ramechapp. The road to Ramechhap suffered significant damage due to the recent flooding and large sections of the highway were washed away. It took just over six hours by van from Ramechhap to Kathmandu and it is a bumpy ride due to the damage so plan accordingly. I am already planning my next trek with Three Jewels Adventures.

Everest Three High Passes Trekking With Guide and Porter: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Three High Passes Trekking With Guide and Porter cost?
+
Prices start at $770 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Three High Passes Trekking With Guide and Porter take?
+
Plan for about 408 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Three High Passes Trekking With Guide and Porter worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Three High Passes Trekking With Guide and Porter?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Three High Passes Trekking With Guide and Porter suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 9. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 408-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Everest Three High Passes Trekking With Guide and Porter?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 408-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Three High Passes Trekking With Guide and Porter start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
